Opinions on Xyson?

in Xsyon: Prelude

What do you all think about Xyson? I didn't nesessarily like what i saw but opinions are opinions. Lets have a public discussion on what you all are excited about?

    I hated minecraft but i love this game, i enjoyed DF and id say this game is a mix inbetween them two

    I will start off by saying, wait to buy this game.  After a few months and everything looks good, feel free to join on in.

    That out of the way...I love Xsyon.

    Xsyon is like being given some play doh and in a room full of other kids and their own play doh.  You can literally shape anything you want or can imagine.  Other people want your play doh but they can't do anything about it because the teacher is watching them.  That is the "Prelude" imo.

    Next stage in Xsyon is when the teacher leaves the room and comes back to see little Timmy playing with Johnny and Sally's play doh.

     

    Regardless of how things eventually turn out, the game is fun and looking forward to seeing the evolution of the game.

    This game still needs a great deal of work. After playing a weekend you dont notice it right away but after playing for a few days (pre-lag) you start to feel the effects of what I am refering to. with that said, you can get a good feel for a games direction and I have strong confidence that this game is going in the right direction. It might be best to say 'the framework' of this game is solid. Now they just need to start building off of the foundation.

    Im concerned when the bring up the new servers and it seems terra forming and stock pileing are causing lag. This is on the old server and the new ones are not yet up.

     agreed. Having perhaps a few hundern people terraforming their first mound within in 120km server is one thing. Having 1200km world with several large villages already developed and a growing pve population after the game is live for a few months is another thing all together.

    Well I pre-ordered last friday and i msut say im very impressed.

     

    The game still needs work like others have said but they are a small dev company and for what they ahve done so far im very impressed.

     

    Combat system needs work but they are hiring a guy to sort that out so thats good news.

     

    IT has been laggy over the weekend and they are constantly working on it to try and resolve the issue, hopefully they will get to the bottom of it soon. It was a lot better yesterday after they made some quick changes but the lag did show up now and then..

     

    For the price the game is worth investing in, plus you get 2 months free instead of just 1 :)
