One thing that annoyed me in beta was the crazy rate at which mobs were respawning. You could'nt kill a mob and loot without having it respawning on your back. Is it still the same now ?

I haven't noticed a difference, but I haven't had this issue before either. Because there are so many players going for the same quests, the re-spawn rates should be higher then normal now imo anyway.
There are some points where mobs respawn almost immediately. In other places it can take several minutes. It's just a reminder to always pull/move the monster from it's spot.
Mob respawntimer is dued to how many people are in the area, more people faster respawn less people longer respawn timer.
If it's not broken, you are not innovating.
Thats just Rift spawn time, not regular Mob spawn time.
