one of the early invasions i fought against in beta was one where you need to collect shards first before killing the raid boss because it has an invulnerability buff. it was funny because people somehow were still clueless and kept attacking the raid boss only to eat dirt over and over again.
Most memorable games: AoC(Tryanny PvP), RIFT, GW, GW2, Ragnarok Online, Aion, FFXI, FFXIV, Secret World, League of Legends (Silver II rank)
If only, these events are too frequent in my opinion. When you got rifts opening left right and center and a new invasion coming in every half an hour, it gets to a point where it's like "meh, another rift, I pass". I am already seeing players ignoring rifts and such as long as they don't get on their way to complete a quest.
Another annoying thing is how the game puts you into teams without even asking. "Excuse me, I did not want to group with that noob that is just pulling everything at once and then dumping all that agro onto me". Is there an option so that nobody can join you in a public quest unless you want to? Or at least the game should ask you. Atm, you can get into any group without asking.
Potential... sigh, if you have played Vanguard you know how annoying and sad this word can be. Yes, they do have potential, but, while the game is good, polished, fun, etc, these events are still quite repetitive and monotonous.

You can lock your group, so you are not automatically grouped with others.
Personally Me and my wife love rifts, and still see plenty of people doing them. I've not come across one rift that did not get people by the end. Sure it might not reach past stage 3, but they ALWAYS get people (atleast on my server). I do not do every rift, but i do 80-90% of the ones I come across, and am still having tons of fun doing them. And as I've read, they get more complicated/diverse later one too, so I'm happy as a clam :P
My god has horns.... nah, I don't think he is real either.

Keep in mind, spawn rates are tied to population in an area. Since the game is new, the population is rather cramped into the opening area. As the population matures, and areas open up, this part of the equation will settle itself out.
Not positive myself, but I hope that spawn rates are also tied to something other than population density. This allows, later, for areas that get abandoned to become taken over by rifts.

Not sure if noticed it there are different types of rifts, you should have no problems closing minor rifts (only last stage has elite boss even then with a healer/tank combo you can finish it). What set up are you guys?

Yeah I know there are many different tiers of rifts
We are cleric and mage, and do well enough as long as we time it correctly lol
My god has horns.... nah, I don't think he is real either.
I don't care either way for this game but so far it's a one trick pony.

Most people didn't anticipate Rift because most people didn't know it even existed. It's hard to anticipate something you know nothing about.
I can not remember winning or losing a single debate on the internet.

So long, and thanks for all the fish!
