A developer make a game as deep and balanced as Eve, with respect to player choices, but with twitch combat?
Is it because the so-called "hardcore" players are scared that they won't be able to constantly gank wittle bitty carebears as soon as they spawn?

Last I saw was JGE is tits up. Lawsuits and mayhem.
I'm not even sure if JGE is going to be coming out with that mass lay-off.
But it doesn't have to be a spaceship game. The setting and lore for Xsyon would make it perfect to having Angelic defenders (CONCORD) protecting safe areas (High-sec) while Conquerer/PvPer types (Like me half the time), would have non-safe areas (low/null sec) to fight over. But they can't. Or they won't. It's really a shame that people think a sandbox game has to have PvP always everywhere just because Darkfall and Mortal Online wanted to do that.

No offense intended, but "why can't developers do a game like this?" is simple. There are a lot of games that need to be tried, which aren't because WoW-clones dominate the genre. Of those FEW which stray away from the WoW-clone design, they are what they are. Asking for a game as deep and complex (awesome) as EVE online is by itself a really big task. To say "Why can't the next one have twitch combat in addition?" is ignoring the fact there are hundreds of other features that want to play alongside a deep and complex design.
So what you're saying is this:
"Among the extremely rare occurence of a deviation from the WoW-clone design, can it implement another rare occurence of deviation from RPG design? Why can't developers develop a rarely developed type of game, with a rarely developed type of feature in that rarely developed game? Why can't developers make the ultra rare rarity rare legendary game of rarity?"
The answer is simple: It has to wait in the long line of features wanting to get into a deep/complex game, which itself is also waiting in a long line of games waiting to be picked for development, which is ALSO waiting in a long line of games still being developed.
That's three lines of three groups waiting, similar to 100,000 people waiting to get in to a line of 10,000 people who are waiting to get picked to enter a building of 1000 people who are in a raffle to get the chance to be one of 100 people to go on to the second round where only 10 people get to spin the Final Round Wheel where only 1 person will win and go on to wait 4 years to get their prize and roll a six sided die where if they don't roll higher than a 3 they lose their prize.
So 1 out of 100,000 people get to wait 4 years for a 50% chance of getting their prize, and you are asking "Why can't mine be that 1"
If being a developer means being quiet, mature, well-spoken, and disconnected from the community, then by all means do me a favor and believe I'm not one.
