i want to love this game cuz i love the universe, but every time i look at the combat and animations i wanna puke. this truly is panning out to be WoW in space with a few PVE fads, and theres no reason to pick this up over, say, GW2.
true and false; it is pandering to wow crowds and there is a reason to pick it over gw2 - swtor is culturally relevant where gw2 is a mmo for its own sake

Don't know how much it's pandering to wow crowds, i was under the impression they liked to run dungeons and get to max level as fast as possible.
Which isn't really the point of swtor. Swtor is primarily story first. Other things tend to supplement and work around it. Thats why the story is involved in almost everything you do. from quests to crafting to pvp. I didn't get the impression wow crowds were into that sort of thing.
Unless it's a different kind of pandering as in theme park or graphic in which to the first thats cool because thats what it is, a theme park. to the second it's getting more iffy to compare it to wow style graphics with the more recent footage.
Note: that isn't to say wow crowds are wrong. what this means is the general out look of racing to max level, and doing dugeons over and over again for loot.

Meh i'am in no rush to get it.. However, i likley won't be touching another MMO until its release.. I was thinking of Rift but i was so bored during beta i know it'd be a waste of cash like WoW was for me.. I just can't get into quest and PvE heavy fantasy games.. I actually went back to SWG for a minute but couldn't get into that either.. My hopes are with SWTOR and Bio Ware to revive me out of MMO burnout, and i wouldn't have it any other way.
