I would like to give a second vote for DDO. Also, I haven't seen anyone mention City of Heroes yet - the game is as old as WoW, and has the content to show for it. It's an utterly fantastic game in pretty much every aspect. The only reason why I'm not subscribed at the moment is because the Going Rogue content stops at level 20.
Well sadly darkfall is out. After 3 tries it still has corrupted or bad files. More suggestions are welcome. I am looking into the other games that were mentioned too

the other two ways that are offered just don't work. torrent? Works perfectly.
Like Skyrim? Need more content? Try my Skyrim mod "Godfred's Tomb."

Actually the 3 tries were with the torrent. It downloaded unlike the other 2 but the files were corrupt. Same thing with the second download using a torrent.
Darkfall is a good game It wasnt for me but the ganking isnt nearly as bad as some people make it out to be. For example in darkfall gear isnt worth nearly as much as it is in other games so getting ganked isnt a huge deal and the starting quests are good at starting you out with some things that will aid you in your comming adventures. Eve is like darkfall only in a sci-fi setting but it has some major flaws just like darkfall but if you can over look them and have a group of buddies to play them with the games will be extremely fun!Good Luck
If your going to ban the trolls please for our sake ban the Fan Boys too.

Good news. I was able to get darkfall working and patching. It took some trial and error but i finally got it working
