How is the Open PVP on your server?

Was just wondering how the open pvp is like on other servers. I am on tearfall and I have been in droughtlands (lvl 40 + contested zone for defiant/guardian) for the whole weekend. In the earlier levels it seemed like the typical kill on site ganking thing, which i am perfectly OK with (coming from AoC), but somehow nowadays people are really friendly with each other. A lot of the other people i have met in the other faction have been fairly nice, sometimes waving to me or having some small conversation. Just last night my party and I actually took turns with a party from the other faction waiting for a quest boss to spawn and chatted a little bit while we waited.

Its really odd having this mentality in an open pvp area because you kinda let your guard down a little bit. However, there have also been a fair amount of griefing. there are the typical asshat rogues that will do nothing but kill people at 1/4 health while they are fighting a monster. yesterday I was so angry at this rogue who repeatedly attempted to gank me while i was hunting quests mobs that I spawncamped him and dry humped his dead body while insulting his family.

Most people actually hate ganking. Also we are all sort of leveling on our own time and a lot of people will not even bother you.



I have been ganked a ton as a Guardian. If I go south in Scarlet Gorge or Scarwood Reach I am guaranteed to get ganked or pvp'd solo.



We did have a huge pvp fight over an invasion boss on Faemist. It was a dps race while trying to KS the Defiants that showed up.

Hit and miss tbh.

Some days we have enjoyable fights, get a few lucky 1v1's and 2v2's, but normally it's a population farm fest outnumbered 3 or 4 to 1.

This is the problem with open world pvp in  2-faction system, he who has the most peeps normally wins.

This is also why i inevitably go back to instanced pvp, at least the numbers are equal.
