The most fun I have had in a long time is rolling this spec for DPS Cleric and owning people in Black Garden. The fun begins at level 12.
This post will give you a step by step plan to having some serious pvp fun.
1. Roll a Guardian Cleric and start with Warden. By level 6 you should be out of the starting area and rolling with this spec.
Guardians can farm mats and move around fatster than Defiants. Done both.
2. Train Butcher/Runecrafter/Outfitter and hit the rifts.
3. Join the public groups and spam your Healing Current. This will put you at the top of the leader board no matter what level the rift (if you can hang in the level 15-18 rifts DO IT! They give the best rewards).
4. Rift until you have 355 Planarites and 7 corrupted tokens (optional if you get a purple token farm 200 more plaraites).
5. Go to the Planar vendors and get the belt buckle thingy, the blue staff (with intelligence not wisdom) and the blue cloth chest. Also buy two blue palanar essemces that give intelligence.
6. DO NOT stack wisdom, unless its from a rune, stack intelligence. Do not wear chain wear cloth gear that has intelligence and endurance or spell crit.
7. You should be leve 8-9 by now. Start farming any critters that you can Buthcher to get soft hides. Farm 6-8 stacks of soft hides. Start making soft leather boots and then runebreak them. Use the mats to level your Runecrafting to 80. Sell any excess Uncommon Powder and use the money to buy burlap cloth.
8. Go to the main town and get the crafting dailies and use the crafter tokens to buy the Burlap and Cotton Cowl patterns.
9. Level Outfitter to 40, runebreak and sell mats (see 7). You want to buy cloth gear that is over level 8 or 11 from the AH or wear what you make.
10. Keep farming and selling mats till level 10. Get the PvP quests and hit the Black Garden. Quest, rift or BG until level 12 when your spec should look like this.
11. Rune up all your gear focusing on Int, Wis, Endurance, Spell Crit and Spellpower.
12. Now it is time to own. In BG there is a place on either side of the enemy graveyard. Go the to right side as you face out of your GY. Run there just stand and wait for someone to come out of the GY. Vex, Sanction, Impede, Life's Vengance, spam Waterjet, Impede, Crushing Wave, repeat until they are dead. Kee p your HoT up and have your insta heal ready.
13. By level 15 you should be able to kite 2 of almost any class. If you catch a "Hunter" get up in his grill IMMEDIATELY. They will die fast. This is fun AND it diverts forces from the main battle. After you own 2 or 3 peeps they will try and gang up on you. Just run to the main fight and go back to your pwn area.
14. By level 16 your spec look like this and you are practically unstoppable. Keep heal Potions on hand and drinks.
15. All the time between BGs you are farming mats for your next level of crafting and doing pvp/crafting dailies as you can.
16. By level 18 go to the PvP gear vendor in Gloamwood and get the rings and belt they sell.
17. Keep BGs until ding 20 and then start rifting in the next zone...Repeat the process getting the new zone planar gear and advancing your crafting gear.
18. OWNAGE!

I think Sabs and mana drain mages are your rock/paper/scissor class. I would wait till higher levels before saying this is the super build.
lol, a cleric in cloth.. thats Sab 1 shot criteria there! plop, plop, plop, plop, plop, BOOM!! oops.. dead cleric.. no healz.. cause its D.O.A!
Wait until you get to 30s or 40s
Hint on what to expect: Dominators and Warriors in general
Don't get me wrong, your guide is pretty ok, if there's anyone looking for something like this.
Thing is, no one cares about 10-19 bracket anymore and whole ''meta'' changes dramaticaly with every bracket.

Mission Accomplished.
read a lot of stuff, but.. thought the tactics were about as childish as it gets, i wouldnt demean myself to spoil the game by just attacking people at graveyards, considering this is advice given by someone who claims to be a pvp'er .. all i see is an object lesson in bad manners. everything else is irrelevant.
There is nothing even remotely unstoppable about that build.
Protip: Playing against bads does not equal skill, and if you want single target dps as a cleric you go melee. My shaman would utterly destroy you.
its not bad, I actually run a similar spec at level 35, but with Templar instead of sentinel
anyways, the ONLY place you are really wrong is in wearing cloth over chain and stacking INT over WIS
lets say you have 100 wisdom and 100 int
100 wis = 75 spell power
100 int = 25 spell power
spell crit I agree in stacking, but do so with your runes and planar essences
I'm not playing Rift now, but from my past experience in other MMOs the low-level battlegrounds don't become competetive until people are twinking much later in the MMOs maturity. In a few months there might be competetive players running lower level battlerounds but probably at this point you are running against mostly casuals and those that are just checking out the battlegrounds to see what they are like. Not saying your build is money or not, but I think you will probably need to return to those levels in a few months to see if it is truly competetive or not, or if you just are one of the few people out there right now that actually gives a crap about the lower level battlegrounds and have bothered to tinker with your build/style for it. Honestly most competetive types are probably just powerleveling to the top tier battlegrounds right now.
