Well am done with rift , logged on the other day all my items gone and all my plat taken away on all my characters they just lefted a few gold .
been a week no answer from anyone from trion , i really dont need these headaches playing a mmo.
did several scans on my computer for any keyloggers etc .... all clean so careful outthere might happen you , this happen to 2 of my guildies too , so this is something they really need to improve on security .
To the people who lost their items: It's a known bug thats happened with some accounts - report it to a GM and they'll return your stuff no questions asked, it's been on the offical forums if you actally looked, instead of comming to here 'declairing' your issue
Submit a CS ticket. I have heard there were a lot of people bugged and lost everything. It gives the appearance of a hacker but in reality it was an issue with a patch.
But wait I thought this game was baby jesus with no bugs
I kid I kid. Still, no one answered me. Was the starting 10man content painfully easy which is why they need to release the next 10man?
The new 10 man is what, 5 bosses? Are these more like 10 man instances or are they really raids? (Oh how I hope I don't have to explain the difference between the two). Do you go in and complete it in an hour or two without knowing the place inside out and knowing all the strategies?
I'm curious because my gf might be forcing me ot play this and that's pretty game breaking for me (mainly because I already don't find the game much to jump up and down over).
Also when, if ever, do the Rifts start requiring some actual skill other than zerg rushing? I played beta till about 20 and every rift/event/bs thing I did was just tagging and tank spank. There would be a knock back here and a dot there, but it was mindless zergfest for the most part.
2. Make it a bubble(which they said is the back-up plan) because that thread demonstates they zerged down 10 man content with 20 people and turned it into a joke.
9 months time when i can get an update computer to play i pray and hope that Rifts team of devs still listen to the community and haven't become the Ghostcrawler nerfbat crew by then PLEASE PLEASE don't!
Currently playing Rift. Hit endgame a week ago, been doing experts, raid rifts, Greenscale's Blight.
THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I don't have ANY downtime in a new MMO's endgame. This game definitely delivers on endgame. That is where the development focus has been very obviously, which makes the boring themepark leveling sacrifice well worth it for me and most others.
The only thing that is lacking is PvP. I'm not into mini-games, I find them personally insulting excuses for content. But if I were to judge this game on PvE alone, it's a solid 10. (Yes, out of 10)
I still wish Rift was more original lore and setting wise... but:

Actually, yes. That is exactly what we did. However there are reasons for that. We are on the most populated PvP server, Deepstrike (since game hoppers on Briarcliff cleared off) and the raid must be opened in Stillmoor, the #1 hangout for lvl 50's of both factions.
Our original raid just as servers came up did not have those numbers, but inevitably Guardians came around to meddle PLUS the servers went down again literally 10 minutes later, so being quite annoyed by that we were going to make damn sure we got it the second time.
Not only did we have twice the number of people, other guilds showed up to defend us making it an absolute parody. But what has been done is done. Sorry if zerging a world first offends any PvE'ers out there who could do this in absolute safety without PvP.
Anyway, fun story: a lvl 47 in the guild (Psyona) got the last hit and the server announced kill. Which is funny as there were at least 50 people around the Rift all hitting the last boss as it went down. With the resists a lvl 47 would be getting (around 90% resists on a lvl 52 raid tiered boss) and being 1/50 attacking it - it must be a one in a million chance of this happening.
Psyona got the T2+ gloves that dropped, to recognize this amazing statistical singularity.
I played WoW for several years off and on ..always in a bad mood. And I gotta tell you RIFT is like a breath of fresh air compared to it. I don't get why people say RIFT is like WOW. Yeah it looks like WoW but I gotta tell you it sure don't feel like WOW. Not in the least!
I actually think RIFT has even make the disgruntled WOW community that are mainly playing RIFT now become a better community in general.

Reading that it tells me one thing.
1. Either they are going to up the difficulty
2. Make it a bubble(which they said is the back-up plan) because that thread demonstates they zerged down 10 man content with 20 people and turned it into a joke.
cool the unmounting was so annoying..
