What I find odder is that you just casually ignore the statements that it was a mistake and human error, that they're rooting out the flaw in their system so that it won't happen again anymore, all this because it doesn't fit the prejudice you have towards game companies? I mean, it's easy to check, right? If it ever happens again, it means that what they stated was wrong.

If it doesn't happen again anymore with the multitudes of their forum posters and players, then it means what they said was the truth. Since they're saying that it was a fault and that they're doing everything they can to prevent it from happening again, it would be more damaging if they just leave it be with a next case.

At least, that sounds like common sense and simple logic to me.

I got banned from evony forums for saying that they were "greedy" (account wasn't banned just forum).

Me personally refuse to deal with products that say EA on it anymore. Because they are greedy (just look at the DLC they put in same day of release). Yes I have enjoyed some of their games but not worth all the BS that comes with the title that has an EA mark on it.

The main thing that pushed me away is that I buy used games for the most part and because we have the right to do that and trade in game they decide to stamp a $10 in order to play online if you don't have a fresh copy.

I could be wrong but didn't that ban when it was in effect only keep said person from registering new games? Not ones already registered.

If thats true it's not suddenly like he lost access to his games.  This person didn't suddenly log in and see that they can't play mass effect 1 because of the ban.  Just that they couldn't activate dragon age 2.

From what i understand of the situation (as muddled to me as it is) all the ban did was prevent a person from activating or using online features of the game.  Not the use of the game at all.  I could be wrong but isn't that what happened?

Help me Bioware, you're my only hope.

Is ToR going to be good? Dude it's Bioware making a freaking star wars game, all signs point to awesome. -G4tv MMo report.

    EA's The devil dammit!!

ha ha thats just flexing his truth muscles. regardless these days people posting negative views on a games forums that are read by by potential subscribers is not wise. and the fear is more dissenters will join in. mutiny's happen fast on forums due to this x feature or x class getting nerfed and whatnot. I got banned for life on wow forums for starting a thread entitled "blizzard Dev's ride the short bus to work" best part was over 3/4 of the replies agreed with me.

Still it's just a guy realizing that games forums don't equal freedom of speech. because game company Eula's are designed to remove content and features or access based on pretty much any reason they want to.
