Thoughts on PvP in Rift....
I am posting this inquiry because as it stands the search for quality pvp in MMOs has been exhausting. After seeing a few commercials for Rift, I check out the website where I read a little about its pvp system and was originally diswayed from giving it a chance. It just sounded like more of the same BS - instanced pvp zones, good vs. evil....the same old BS. However, recently I heard that the developers have gone beyond this and introduced pve & pvp servers. I have heard that on the pvp servers specifically there is in fact open world pvp.
Needless to say, this news has re-ignited my curiosity. For those of you that have experience with the game I would greatly appreciate it if you could kindly spend the time and elaborate on the entire state of things as it is now. What are the rules? What are the strengths & weaknesses of the current system? Do you find it fun..and why? Where do you sense things are going to be moving in the near future? Please share whatever information you have and your opinions about Rift pvp......
