Money has disappeared

in Rift

i,m from europe and was wondering if you players in the states and elsewhere have had the same problems i have..all my platinum off every char has just vanished..is this a hack,i have no addons or was wondering if game bug.i,m kind of a bit pissed off about this.Is there any other problems trion are having as well as this.ty in advance for any response

    You either got keylogged or someone brute forced(program) your account after they got your e-mail address to your Rift account. Open a support ticket and choose the hacked option.

    At least they are working on a protection that is FREE from the start.  Doesn't even require an iOS device.

     

    Too bad though.  Now they can't hold dumb contents to get people to buy more of their products so you can take a screenshot of a silly in game pet.

    Coin lock sounds stupid at first glance, but is actually in genious. Here is why. Say they give you an authenticator. Great now that game is secure and you get a false feeling of security so you pick up key loggers and have people basically watching you daily.



    Now you have coin lock. Scenario 1: You log in and you account is stripped still. That means the hackers  have access to your e-mail which implies key logged.



    Scenario 2: You log in and are coin locked, but e-mail has the message to unlock it. That means your e-mail was leaked and they probably brute forced your password.

    I'm certain that it can't be Trion's fault, after all, Rift is the most polished game release ever. EVER! So the masses would be inclined to say that you and the others have most certainly be hacked. I did however read that you could contact Trion about having your in-game money returned.

    All of my posts are either intelligent, thought provoking, funny, satirical, sarcastic or intentionally disrespectful. Take your pick.

    I get banned in the forums for games I love, so lets see if I do better in the forums for games I hate.
