I do not know what makes me like this game so much but I do. It must be the atmospher. It might be the graphics. It might be the awesome community. It might even have to do with the way I level, which is extremley slow due to my work schedule. But every time I log into this game I love it. I love the sounds of the game. I personally feel this is the best sound design in any MMO I have ever played. I love the way they handle the rewards for the rifts and invasions. This means I can stay in Gloamwood and not feel bad about getting to the next area so damn fast. I like the dungeons, and I have only seen two of them! I will take my time to see the others as well. I want to get the collections and the rewards from the rifts in my current area. This game really makes me happy to play it, which I have not found in a long time. I am greatful that I took the hook and jumped into the pre-order!!! Guys and Gals, I love the community and I am glad to be a part of this game with you all!!!

I agree, i've played so many MMO's over the vast years of playing online dating back to UO and EQ1... and its nice to have a fresh well thought lore and good looking MMO... I know theres the wow trolls around but its only cos there unhappy with what they got... RIFT will not beat wow and wont by a long shot but who would want it too... we have a great community and MOST people in chat are helpful with almost anything you gotta ask about the game...
I do also agree that the sounds in the game are fantastic. Nothing like the ambient sounds, and then al of a sudden hearing a tear in the plains and shortly after hearing the rift open at a distance.
Another thing i love doing is running up to the top of a mountain and checking out the great view... screenshot here, screenshot there
The puzzles where a nice add-on too

I am truely enjoying myself as well. Much more than I expected honestly. The community and atmosphere is awesome in the game. But for me the soul system sells it.. every 5 levels I change my class entirley just to mix things up. Right now im a Pyro/Chloromancer. My DPS heals people and I have a few direct and party heals and can still pump out DPS. The freedom to play how you want is awesome. And the community seems to understand the value of utility and not just who's max DPS. Its a really fun game!

I have to agree about the sound track and basically other things you mentioned. I too am a slow leveler becuase of my work schedule. It doesnt bother me having to be in the same areas for a while because there is so much to do. Also, now the most recent patch is out I like it that much more. I'm glad the dissmount feature is fixed as well as the aggro from lower level mobs..
Well, the dude that made the soundtrack was the same that made Dragon Age's soundtrack, so, hes good.
Im also enjoying the game really, the community is good, except for 1 or 2 idiots that tend to appear, but it's impossible not to find some.
Theres still alot to improve obviously but there always is. Im pretty excited to see this one evolve in the next few months/patches

having fun too. cant wait to login and play tonight, i'm at lvl 49 right now. hopefully i'm not hacked though because the goldsellers are doing whatever they can in their power to steal people's accounts before the coin lock.

ooooo one thing i did forgot to say before was i LOVE how pretty much EVERY part of a zone is used, for a quest or something... unlike other games ive played there are just so many empty places that are just un-used.
It's very easy to get sucked into. A lot of times I've logged in intending to just work on some quests...2 hours later and participating in a major invasion or 2...I still hadn't completed my quests yet had an absolute blast!
And I love the artifact collecting. Really promotes exploring, where I find many more than just the ones on the beaten paths...
I already dumped Rift.. Just Wow with some different graphics.. I don't want to grind that again. just my opinon though.

Are you that dense that you needed to buy the game to find out it was similar to WoW? You could have read one of 500000 threads depicting Rift as being similar to WoW. Hell, all you needed was 1 youtube video to make that distinction.
Some people are just terrible at making purchases. You won't see me buying a truck and then being like "You know what, it's too much like a truck, I really wanted a convertible".
