Wow, there are way too many servers (looking at the rift shard watch). Im thinking about buying the game, what would be suggested for a well populated server to start on? I dont feel like starting on a server that will be merged when the 30 day period is up, or whenever they decide to merge the low pop servers. (PVE or PVE-RP server) Thanks
Edit: I actually replied to a thread, and somehow this instead began a new topic

well the fact that only 2 are at low, at non prime time, i think your safe for what ever server you choose. and as it is with rift, it will only take you an hour or 2 to get to lvl 10-12. if the serer just doesnt feel right you can try another and see if it fits. I play on faemist PvP, last i was on the starter zone still had quite a few people running through it.
Edit: i've seen it happen more then once. with the new thread button right next to the reply button, mistakes will happen.
You can play it safe if you want too. Briarcliff and Seastone are Beta servers and look solid.
Roll Defiant on Perspice. It's a good community. If you do, look me up. My name is Apollo in game.

Greybriar kicks more than its fair share of ass.
I'd suggest you choose one of the RP servers then, as they would be the last ones to go since they're so few. And in my experiences of playing during beta and other MMOs on RP servers, the community is usually more tame with each other & character names seems to be chosen more wisely.
Briarcliff is supposedly the unofficial world PvP server. During headstart, it almost always had the most queues in the thousands. At the moment it still has one of the highest queues during peak times, if you want a server that'll remain populated, it's probably your best bet.
