Hey I didn't see any threads here yet so I guess let me be the first to let people know... the MMORPG game Planeshift is now into its second version: Crystal Blue! The game has mainly added combat into the game. But also all the old character models had to be re-done and characters wiped, and maps re-made (basically a lot of changes from their previous Tech Demo Molecular Blue.) Visit Planeshift today and sign up! You can download AND play the game FOREVER! FREE! That's their goal: A free fun MMORPG that everyone can enjoy. Currently they are having a few problems with 'Exception Errors' causing the game to crash but other than that the game is really worth a try! Their is a lot of lag due to the fact that the want players to meet and greet each other and make friends before they add more servers... anyway, I just wanted to make sure that Planeshift was recognized here.     well its not very user friendly but if you ask you will have no problem.. also make sure you read the manual that comes with it :) , besides that you will find some bugs and will crash sometimes but they are fixing all these things

    Yah, I haven't been back for a few months, but was watching this one for a while.  Do they have more than just picking up the gems now?  Not really wanting to waste time if not. ;)

    well i think pvp isnt open but they might get some arena/place for that image.

    about the crystal thing, there is no more crystals you have combat (including magic) quests and more..

    Although Downloading the game is finished and i will try it, I dont think I stick to a game where there is no PVP...that would suck alot!>.<

    Keep in mind that this isnt really even a beta, its still in alpha stage so there isnt much content yet.  But the devs are gonna be adding more in and this is a nice improvement from the last release.

    this is tech demo built by programmers around the world as spare time project, it might never even become full fledged mmorpg.

    Today I tryed the game for few min(had to go work), but i relised you cant use mouse and its only with keyboard, I dont like that to be honest, but in total its not looking that bad. Its just alot of things that need to be learned. I might go check it out again today if I can be botherd, if not ill be back tomoro with more news.

    I checked this game out a couple of months ago and it was super laggy and actually crashed often.  I'll have to give it another shot to see if they have made any stability improvements.

    To be honest, the game is very laggy and there is a lot of errors o be fixed, but they developers are working ach day and each day more is fixed. I know this, (story time) day one, I downloaded the game (15 hours with FlashGet!!! DON'T USE NETLEECH, I tried it, first it took 3 days to download, then the stinking program wouldn't reckognize it as a .exe file and I had to download it again, using FlashGet! Great program i think its at www.fashget.com not sure though...) it loaded initial things and then it kept crashing, however the next day I tried again, same thing, so I ran the updater, and BOOM! right into the game, only to get some exception error, however a few days later I tried again and all was well. Lesson? RUN THE UPDATER BEFORE YOU TRY TO PLAY (It should be in the same start menu place as Planeshift. Anyway, there is a lot of lag still, but that is because they are being stingy with servers. (They say they have a lot but they aren't putting them up for a while.) Quoting from an older news post they wanted player's to make friends etc. on this server and then they will gradually add more servers. Also there was a post about PvP. There is PvP I but its only in this arena and some other places, I bet they will add more areas soon so keep watching! Another thing, about the stability, the game is pretty stable however they do have problems with the GUI in game, the profile, and spellbook icons and others randomly cause "Exception errors". Learn the keyboard commands to get over this. I= inventory, S=stats etc. I'm sure the developers are working on this a we speak! (I haven't gone on in 2 days maybe its fixed! ^^) Finally, visit the forums, and read the manual before you start playing, there is a good community in the game and in the forums and we're all willing to help out! Also there is not crystal hunting anymore, there is combat, magic, quests, and tons of NPcs to talk to, (btb you TALK to NPCs in this game and they recognize certain words and give you an answer) Pretty cool, but needs a little more work...
