Coming from hardcore, merciless open pvp games i wanted to roll on the most bloodthirsty pvp server in rift at launch. i chose tearfall because its sounds like the name was inspired by tears of all the butthurt players QQing on the forums after getting spawncamped into oblivion. Boy was i in for a surprise. i am lvl 50 now and throughout my time playing here i have not seen such enormous amounts of cross faction love in a pvp server before. once in a couple of days you will encounter your typical perma stealthed rogue trying to gank you. But for the most part, people are nice to each other. i have closed many rifts with guardians, had conversations with some, and even during invasion events the two factions will normally fight the raid boss together(and many of the times leave each other alone afterwards). they even take care not to do aoe skills to kill off other players trying to kill the boss!
what a weird day and age we live in. i have encountered much more hostility in everday dungeon groups that argue about loot or about another player.
is tearfall a weird server or are there others like it too?
