I think they are simply stalling time. It's been clear for awhile now that they are behind schedule, or at least not meeting deadlines.

Anyone following GW2 since it's first "Tyrian Logo," knows the game was estimated for 2010 launch. Then they esitmated it to be early 2011. Now they say it's "ready when it's done."

Which I don't mind, I'm liking the re-iteration process. Especially with the original attributes, as though were sort of "meh."

Aside from that, I see the hylek being playable in the near future. Maybe not the kodan since they "feel" too similar to the norn.

Hylek thief would be great. The dodging...

To claim that they are behind schedule is jumping to conclussion, even if and it is a big IF you are right about an estimated earlier release. SImply because if they raise the bar, and make a new schedule it doesn't make them fall behind! So I would be alot more carefull with my words!

And to say then that they are stalling is at best ignorant. Based on the way they release info so far.

No, Tengu would be first choices I reckon. Kodan are a "BIG" race and Skritt are a "SMALL" race (adds diversity obviously) so those might not make the cut so easily?

Also think the schedule is not that off, June 2011 internal completion with a Fall launch was always the BCS I reckon.

ANET always said the game will be ready when it's done, those dates are guesses by NC soft.

I read Strains press release when they announced the game, no date there. Of course NC soft want to have the game out as soon as possible but if you set an schedule you easily get the problem AoC and FF XIV got.

I am not sure what will be playable or not, I have a feeling ANET will add campaigns to the game like in GW1 and each campaign will most likely offer a new class and a new race.

Beware, he's CHARGING HIS LAZER. I mean, if Charr (cat people) can have crude firearm contraptions, why not give Hylek (frog people) some lasers? Or mucus guns. Or whatever the green stuff is.

Civilized men are more discourteous than savages because they know they can be impolite without having their skulls split, as a general thing.

The more we try to be different, the more we remain the same.. Enemy frogloks..

Must be the nature of us humans to cling to familar concepts. Why can't we have enemies like :

Bipedal Skunks? Dolphins with Tommy guns? Possums with dual blades?

    :)

From what I understand, GW2 will have a very extensive underwater experience so dolphins with tommy guns are a possibility.

These frogs are a throwback to the Hecket, from the first game. Being that the two games share a setting, they have to be consistent with certain things.

I would prefer ill-tempered sea bass to dolphins.
