Ok as so much of yall do you hear about a game and you go on a search to find something to pass the time until X game arrives maybe something your playing now? I was just curious on what you all are playing until GW2 comes knockn' I am kind of playing LOTRO but i cant get realy into it because of the quests that are overwhelming in alot of areas.
Idk if this is the right place to post this i am new and just trying to get some insight it has some to do with GW2 since its a filler until then haha

Sadly, I gave up myself. Don't want to get invested in anything sub based and f2p is very "been there, done that". Leaves me the original GW and hype avoidance.
"SW:TOR crits Short-Straw for 1,498.......body run"
Too true Too true im stuck with like i said LOTRO and WoW which i played wow for years and i cant get into cata it annoys me and lotro is a quest bore i played the demo of GW and i actualy enjoyed that other than that im stuck going in circles
im playing SC2 and L4D2. ive gotten back into EVE but i mostly pvp in that game, so i tend to rage a lot. lately i havent been playing much. i thought about getting Crysis 2 but it seems mediocre.
Global Agenda will be my next game for a while. im a veteran but theyre doing some rebalancing with 1.4, which should make things interesting. and i got into Black Prophecy beta. so we'll see.
Thanks for the input im just trying to see whats out there looking for a game that has GW2 feel to it in mind cause thats my type of game and i knew this would be a help so thank you sir for your input
Guild Wars.
I'm also playing LotRO and a bit of Starcraft 2, until the game comes out but starting to get sick of waiting and speculating.
Minecraft.
I know EXACTLY what you mean. lol
I also recomend GW if you haven't played it.
For the time being i'm revisiting some older single player games a go such as BW2, Bioshock and Dark Messiah and playing in small bursts GW, Lotro and some *cough* Aion.
It's a good idea to take some kind of breaks from mmo's from time to time to refresh.
Ya I get that I got Aion and payed for 1 month membership but couldn't get the pvp aspect of it all was too much and I also agree with the stepping back from mmos get a fresh outlook on other things.
For me, its League of Legends and GW1 PvP until GW2 comes out. I'm currently avoiding anything that is remotely grindy, so that pretty much excludes everything else. I guess the avoidance is in preparation for GW2's release--not that I think its going to be grindy--I just need the reboot from killing mobs.
I'm also playing GW a little bit. There are things that I don't like about it; the wall of text quests, not wanting to do content because you want to wait for someone else, not being able to switch your build outside an outpost. It makes me happy though that these are the things that GW2 is specifically addressing.
Right now I'm just trying to get the orange tabby cat from the hall of monuments (I have one of those in real life).
League of Legends is another game I'm playing in small doses. It does have an awful community though, so that can get old. I recommend playing random free characters in the new coop vs AI games. It really gives you a feel for how different champs play in a relaxed environment. Just watch out for Annie Bot.
I was playing Vindictus for a while but got tired of the repetition. There's also no community whatsoever to speak of, just gold spammers. It might hold your interest for a while though, especially if you can get past the first boat and into the 2nd and or 3rd for more variety.

Thanks Cali59 for your input I see League of Legends talked about I will check that out and see if I can stomach some more LOTRO.
I bought Rift to fill the void, but it's not doing it... really, really not doing it! I have just had it with the traditional MMO setup. I didn't realize how sick of it I was until I started leveling up after launch.
I have actually found myself playing GW1 more these days, which surprises even me.
Playing WoW with my guild a bit. I log into GW1 every now and again. Playing a bunch of TF2 again. If Skyrim releases before GW2 I'll have that to occupy me.
I've been dabbling with FFXIV since it's free and I spent a load of money on it... mise well play it till GW2 comes out. And Elder Scrolls 5 of course...when it comes out.
Guild Wars. It is fun, it is different, and it is free once you buy it.
The only thing is the biggest problem that will be fixed by GW2. You have to be in a large group, even if they are computers and you are playing on your own. Interesting mechanic for balance, but it gets old after a while.

WTF? No subscription fee?
Sorry to get off topic but how is FFXIV free? I'd definately play it if it was free..
Most people go through life pretending to be a boss. I go through life pretending I'm not.
FFXIV Hiromichi tanaka leaves, Game will be free until its's Good Enough
its not realy going to be free, its a trial that last longer lol
its been 4 month that the game has been free. they are losing player eachday.

Wow, and I thought I was fit.
As for FFXIV, I might have to look into that. I have heard almost universally bad things about it, and I had problems with FFXI, but I love the single-player games, so I may as well.
Something has to fill that void, and as much as I love GW, I cannot play that all the time. Surely there is some game out there that is at least good enough.

Well besides waiting for winter to end so I can start playing outside again, come on mother nature stop raining . I am currently playing GW, seeing how close I can get to 50 points in the HoM before launch. I also just bought the DLC for Fallout New Vegas, so I am doing a 2nd run through on that game. Not really playing any main stream MMOs right now, kind of bored with them.
I'm playing games on my new 3DS!
Hopefully I won't go blind from looking at the 3D on the system before GW2 comes out. x.x
Im wasting time in league of legends...god that game is addictive! I think its messing a lot with my university grades lol..:D
I think I actually spent way more time reading and theorycrafting about MMOs than playing them
Playing EVE to hold me over until GW2 comes out.
Will probably keep my EVE account active for skill training while I spend most of my time in GW2 when it releases.
