Has anything changed after they switched over to the NEXON brand of hosting?
I like to read up on what new features (but off late its mostly been only bad things) have been added to AO, since I dont actively play this anymore but would like to go back and give it another chance if some things are changed. But I cant access the new forums since nexon has made it mandatory to log in with a nexon account, and I CBF to make an account just to read a game forum without any intent of posting there on a regular basis.
So can anyone, who still plays this game, give out any info on what changes AO has gone through for better or for worse?
Or a link to where I could check their forums would also be nice, without having nexon arse me about making an account or downloading their browser module or whatever else they force you to do just to occasionally read a few lines of forum posts.

It's only been a week since they moved things to Nexon. But so far the only changes have been negative:
Moving the game to new, less powerful servers that have trouble coping with the handful of people who still play the game.
Conversion to the Nexon cash shop, which doesn't give you any bonus. So things are more expensive.
And I guess this is part of the server issue, but when you try to log in with a Nexon account (if you've migrated) it takes 2-3 tries to actually connect

Thanks for that bit of info. Seems like its going to turn out to be same old AO, with a new cash shop owner.
I will miss playing this game, but I would rather remember it for the good times when it was one of the best MMOs on the market than play it now for the screw up it has become.
Good times...
Also, apparently Nexon doesn't have tech staff on weekends, so the server I play on (Thebes) was down most of Sunday

Nexon recently decked out MapleStory content with the Big Bang patch and is waiting on Wizet to develop the Chaos Patch. Considering how much money they're making off of MapleStory and (even though they didn't put much money into it) Combat Arms (a worthless FPS, by the way), developing Atlantica would only be for extra money.
I don't expect it to get more love than Dungeon Fighters (which had potential but it was developed worthlessly).
Well Atlantica's development is up to Ndoors Korea, and they have a lot of versions to patch.. including there own... they update faster Japan Atlantica then International Atlantica <.< so Nexon buying the company/Game has nothing to do with game's develepoment its still happening at same speed as before, just the patches are comeing in slow to our version <.<
But 4 months since last patch we are getting Guan Yu! finally... hopefully valkeria in summer/End of summer as a event im praying.
