I need some help with MMORPG's,,

lennpelllennpell Member UncommonPosts: 111

Guys, I'm at a loss here...I've been trying my hardest to get back into MMO's but I can't for whatever reason.

I'm so desperate I've tried basically every new release in the past 3 months...

What im asking is are there any good MMO's worth playing anymore? I mean ones with high population and good end game content and/or good PvP? Here is a list of all the games I've played to give you an idea of my struggle.

WoW, Rift, Aion, Maplestory, FlyFF, Atlantica(Fun but pay-to-win), EVE, Runescape, Conquer, League of Legends(I still play this one daily but I can't only play this game tbh), SC2, GW, LotRO, WAR, DDO, RoM, Rakion, Allods, Lineage 2, Vindictus, etc.

I've tried to find the best game possible for me but the ones that are semi-OK are lackluster for me, for example:

Rift, I liked the game alot during beta, I ended up buying the game, but the more and more I played and PvP'd I noticed this game was way too slow paced for me, I love fast action and quick thinking, thats why I play league of legends.

WoW, I liked this game alot too...but it gets old and the end game is basically gear up, raid, patch, gear up, raid, patch etc...and the pvp is sour.

Aion, I liked this game alot tbh but the leveling is so horridly slow i couldn't make it past 15.

WAR, I loved this game to death, fast action PvP combat, leveling through PvP and a multitude of classes to play, but the devs suck and the game died, shame.

RoM, this game is free and popular yes, but not for me I just don't like how this game works or the balance.

Anyways, I guess what I'm asking is..are there any games still worth it? Are there any games that still have great fast-paced PvP? Are there any that I haven't tried that I should? Any help or insight would be appreciated thanks(Please give details/reasons why the game would be worth it)!

P.S.: The game must have PvP and a relatively high population..I love the rush!

P.P.S.: If you can convince me as to why i should rejoin any of these let me know in complete detail...I just might go back honestly.

Well if your looking  for a rush then I'd check out Mortal Online or Darkfall, both have trials.

Mortal Online- MMORPG people seem to have a hatred for this game. When it was first  released a year ago it was buggy and unfinished. But now the game has finally got its core features down and is even releaseing a content expansion this month. The game is fist person, the graphics are great, and all combat is skill based. The game is considred hardcore by many, its free for all PvP and full loot.

    Reasons to check it out:

    -Good Graphics

    -Open PvP

    -Very little grind

-the game is on the up swing (meaning its growing and getting more people)

    -something unique

    -fun world to explore

    -player housing/keeps

Reason no too check it out:

    -Open PvP

    -still lacking content

    -still a relatively small population

Darkfall- This is another free for all open PvP game. It also had a rough launch but is also recovering. I would say this game has more content PvE wise, but I didn't like the graphic style or game style near as much. But if your looking for pure PvP this game has the best.

    Reasons to check it out:

    -best PvP

    -big world

    -player housing/cities/boats

    -open PvP

Reasons not to check it out:

-TERRIBLE GRIND/MACRO FEST (this is the major reason people don't play it)

-Low population and huge map leads to not seeing to many people

    -Open PvP

Just kinda threw this togher quick to give you an idea of the games. Personally I like MO better than Darkfall and they new content patch is going to add alot of cool things, but I'd check them both out and decide.

You've basically tried everything their is it seems. You might be interested in the coming MMOs like TERA, SWTOR, GW2, or ArcheAge, but those won't be out for a while. Untill then you can always try some non mmo games like Global Agenda, Mount and Blade (as an awesome multiplayer mod that lets you lvl and buy gear), and Brink.

Battlefield Play4Free is my only savior that the genre might do something special soon.

    I'm with you tho'.

The King awaits Guild Wars 2, if that flops.. World of Darkness, if that flops.. I'll just wait for virtual reality.

MMOs as they stand now are too simple and stupid for me to waste my time on.

Will develop an original MMORPG title for money.

Hmm. Fast paced combat. Instant action. Quick leveling. Intense PvP. I would say DC Universe might be up your alley? Death & Glory is the server you'd want.

Looked at DC universe...way too cartoony for my tastes

I have a subscription to both MO and Darkfall atm, even though MO is a work in progress atm it still can be fun. And Darkfall is, well, Darkfall.  I would also recommend both and or either. If MO seems too (__insert word___), then play Darkfall. Its a little more themeparkish. MO has more potential to be epic though once they get more content in there.

I was lost among many MMORPGs looking for some new home.

I found Darkfall and hated it at first but then it became the most epic MMORPG experience by far. I cannot log into other MMORPGs for longer than an hour anymore because they are all boring in comparison.

They have a free-trial so theres nothing to lose but they have probably the worse free-trial that there is because it really gives people a false-impression of what the game will be like most of the time it seems because the starter areas are not very populated and chat is rarely used in this game and if it does, a new player cannot read it because it is typed in clan chat.

If you try it out make sure to make some friends to do stuff with or join a clan.

Heh, your arguements are the same arguements I see in Final Fantasy XIV forums(refering to MO).

Darkall is "the" PvP MMO (MO is broken).

If you like PvP then you have to love Darfall

The only problem is that from your description it looks like you like more of a Korean style PvP

Darkfall has a difficult interface to learn so I guess you won't like it because of this.

I guess you could say that I prefer Korean MMO PvP, because it is always fast and colorful and intensive and that is what I like, but Korean MMO's are dead in america because people prefer PvE over PvP here, and it hurts my soul.
