big update

yeah! the big update is going to be coming out tomorrow, and i couldn't be happier.

3 things i am happiest about:

1.now the map will show an actual pointer to show character heading instead of just the dot

2.now people wont be able to ruin the economy by getting a wholesaler quest and buying the stuff from broker (not sure HOW theyre gonna fix it, but they said they did).

3. training! new abilities every 10 levels! awesome!

and whats best is ill be gone during the downtime, so i will still be able to just come home and play

1. Thank god. Hated having to closely watch the map in big zones to figure out which way I'm moving only to run into a mob...

2. Don't craft all tha often but I know most of my guildies will be glad to hear that.

3. Wondering when they were going to add this in. Heard them talk about it before and was wondering what they might be like.

They will probably add combat abilities since they already have resistances to choose from. Anyways, I can't wait until my internet works again since my new hardware firewall made a boo boo with my IP and currently have no internet access on my gaming rig.

so...what if you're level 30? (me) ...

do I just get a couple sets of training abilities pop up on my screen when I log in? lol

Yes Murt, everything will get reset and you get to repick thoose you allready picked even.

Kinda wonder though if these abilities are just fluff, if they were meant to be an integral part the lack of them should have influenced the difficulty of the game, wich is kinda easy at it is.

You guys realize you've always had a compass which shows what direction you're heading, right?

And the update is outstanding IMO.

Yea. But it's much easier just pointing an arrow on a dot instead of spending time constantly checking the compass on screen to the arrow pointing north on the map. I guess we're just being a little lazy but it can be kind of distracting if you are trying to watch for any mobs.

The patch totally screwed up everything that can be screwed up, heck it even screwed up some of my keys...i cant type the following chars ingame:

The patch did me pretty good. Since I upgraded to 2 gb of ram and a 3ghz processor (ht) I don't get stutter anymore like some are talking about. I still do get some frame by frame hangs going into an area that has 4 or more people in it for a moment til everything caches which is still an issue to me. Other then that everything is running fairly smooth for me. And this is with 4x antialiasing on btw.
