Trial to full account?

I played the free weekend from a key from MMORPG.com.  If I want to continue to play can I just go to wal-mart or something and buy game time cards? Or do I still need to "purchase" the digital download copy even though I've already downloaded it.

No. You'll need to either get the boxed copy or the digital download for a CD-Key.

When you purchase the digital download you're actually flagging your account as subscription instead of trial. You should be able to play after that without the need to download anything.

btw are these that you see on ebay for quite a bit cheaper than on the rift website legit keys?  the collectors there is only $35

I don't think that the money saved justify the possibility of an account scam, but that's my line of thinking.

I'd have to agree. Sure you might spend $5-$15 more (depending wqhere you get it and if it's the C.E. or not), but it sure as hell beats being out $35 and have no game to show for it.
