Copying WOW doesn't make a game a WOW-killer.
That makes it a WOW-sharer.
NONE of these games thought they were gonna kill WOW by copying WOW. No, not even Rift.
None of these games wanna take the whole pie, they just want a share of it.

I do believe EA is hoping that SWTOR is a big success, the part of Blizzard's market they want to take is all of it.
GW2 is shooting for a slightly different market actually, those who made the original so successful as well as people who felt GW1 wasn't enough of an MMORPG for them.

Yep, and it's pathetic. Just listen to PAX east interviews or any from random Devs and you'll see they all seem to think the same anymore and are more or less "yes-men". Nobody has any balls anymore. It's going to be really fun when the MMOs turn into children games (which they've basically become let's be honest). They took the RPG out, now they are beginning to take the actual challenge and interaction out it seems. Let's hope whatever EA has in the works is another DaoC or UO, which would likely be pussied up anyway. I still don't know what the appeal of WoW is to be quite honest (never played) and I grew up on the RTS.
