Just wanted to know, since they are one of the better mmorpgs out there at the moment that's going hot and not. Post in all ya comments. Let's see which will win and which will go to the bin. Cheers.

Learn some grammar.
none of them are going to be going anywhere. whether you or i play them, there are still many others that will play. personally i will be playing EQ2, and L2 i already lost interest in after a few months, and i will never touch WoW. so, it is a matter of opinion, but all of them will still be there for years to come. (and yeah learn how to spell and use grammar, it helps when trying to read it)

How does that one thing go? The survival rate on a long enough timeline always ends up zero? Something like that.
So there is your answer. None of them will survive.
And btw, everyone in here is sick and tired of EQ2 vs WoW threads. Throwing Lineage 2 in there makes it no different.

both wow and eq2 are pretty boring......eq2 being the laggiest of the bunch.....i really dont see any great new stuff in eq2.....frankly i got poed at eq2 when i was stuck at lvl 6 for 5 hrs till i got a gm to telll me the freeport quest was broken.which of course is par for soe broken quest and poor cs.
woah.. stuck for 5 hours.. that's sad. anyway, there must be other players that find it's not as bad as you think.
i believe l 2 will do well with the koren market and could care less if the american market likes it or not
wow will do well for the battlenet crowd and will have a revolving door influence mainting a good ammount of steady players
eq2 no matter what na sayers 250,000 to 300,000 is still a profit since they are in the business to make money it will hold it's own, over a longer period of time and hold on to their players over a longer period of time

Oh, I never said you could not post your opinion. It is just that when it comes to "Why this is better" threads, it is best just to stay away. I'd say devilbadger is cool if he didn't think WoW was awesome. Then again I think he is being sarcastic so he thinks EQ2 is awesome which is even worse.
actually you sound like your 10,you know what if you DONT like post about what is wrong with eq2 then dont rerad them.the title of thread is posted you dont have to read it do you,and if allyou can do is insult why dont you NOT read it..after all people might use words with more than 4 letters and that could confuse you.

Actually in the three weeks I played EQ2 I found just as many immature rejects as I have since I started playing WoW. As someone who was expecting better with EQ2 I was pretty disappointed, sadly enough.
I'm afraid nothing could be farther from the truth. I can find more complete idiot WOW fans on this board alone on a good day than I've seen in 6.5 years of playing EQ1/2. Frankly, it's amazing. Somebody should study this ... that game is like moron flypaper.

Really? I guess you must be very fortunate and lucky then, Mr. Wickes in your six years of EQ Live and two months of EQ2. Here's truth for you though, and that [i]every[/i] MMORPG has its share of retards playing on its servers. I've seen tons of them in the three years I've invested playing EQLive, including someone who sexually harassed a good friend of mine I might add. In EQ2 I was unlucky enough to get into a guild with people who swapped some pretty lame and disgustingly crude jokes over guild chat. There was the constant whines, bickerings, and begging I've seen in every game as well. You can't deny it. It's no worse than any MMORPG out there, but it's no better either, including WoW. I guess it just depends on experiences, you have better time on EQ2, that's cool, you play it and be happy. I'll do the same with WoW.
Now I know you're probably going to sit there and dig up a few links of WoW fans on this forum to validate your reasoning that the WoW community sucks arse. Don't bother, I've seen the idiot posting on this site's WOW forums and it's all the same, plus the old day b.net forum goodness that made me pick EQ2 over WoW before they were released in the first place. Forums really don't reflect core communities, which I can attest to. The peeps on EQ2's website forums were awesome, the players I found on the server and had to play with, well, weren't. That's just my experience though. So where are all the good, mature players of WoW then? That's easy, they're too busy playing WoW to take too much time for posting.

Let's bear in mind I didn't say there are no good people playing WOW. I know quite a few myself. Nor do I have anything at all against the game. I said it is moron flypaper, which it is. And I don't blame the game for that. And yup, there are idiots in every game, and I agree these forums are not reflective of the game populations (thanks god! =p). But, say what you will, EQ2 doesn't attract anywhere near the proportion of complete fools. People here may not want to admit that, but it is readily admitted on numerous forums, and the people I know playing it say the same.

Guess I'm just an unlucky one for getting pegged with those who I described and you got some good folks on your side. As I said, cool for you, but I would have left even if I got some good folks to play with, because I also found that EQ2 didn't live up to the hype that was dumped into it by SOE. That's just me though.
As for why I'm here, I was browsing and saw this being talked about so I decided to comment. It's a free internet last I checked, and if you have issues with me, a WoW fanboy, wandering around on the EQ2 side of the coin, then that's your problem, not mine.
