Bioware and LucasArts have released a new trailer featuring the Sith Warrior. The video shows off Sith Warrior armor and powers progression. Included is a terrific look at the types of armor classes and various abilities players can expect as their rank and level increases as well as the two advanced classes, the Sith Marauder and Sith Juggernaut.

Nice update.
better then the walls one ;P
that leaves i think one class left to show a progression trailer for if i'm correct.
Help me Bioware, you're my only hope.
Is ToR going to be good? Dude it's Bioware making a freaking star wars game, all signs point to awesome. -G4tv MMo report.
A great update today (along with the UI showing). Though I likely won't be playing a Sith Warrior, it was pretty cool to see the direction that the two advanced classes take.
Oh yeah, and notice the purple lightsaber on the Jedi. Offers hope for variations in blade colors.
I want a mmorpg where people have gone through misery, have gone through school stuff and actually have had sex even. -sagil
I would also like to add the link to the UI part WhiteLantern was refering to for those that are interested in that sort of thing.

I know it's not about the progression video but it is part of the update as well. Mind as well see the whole update.

Aye, they already stated lightsaber color isn't class based; it only has to do with the crystal you use.
My brand new bloggity blog.
All in all pretty neat
looking good
I always enjoy the behind the scenes look at how the game is developed over the progression videos so it was a nice treat to get both for this Fridays update and the UI blog was a great read.
On topic, wow spikes? I was caught in the middle of "dude that's cool" and "is that an Army of Two reject" (could be seen as the same thing) I do like that they are sticking with lore when it comes to the sith and full masks for that era.
Because flying a Minmatar ship is like going down a flight of stairs on an office chair while firing an Uzi.
they have only done armor progression videos for bounty hunter, jedi knight, and now sith warrior. i think you are thinking of class videos and we need sith inquistor and jedi consular for those.
I have to say that both the interface blog and the Sith video were great. This game is shaping up nicely.
Animations are still very awkward. When I look at it I'm not seeing that character moving naturally, I'm seeing animations queueing and playing out in neccesary order. It doesn't achieve the desired effect for me.
Agreed. I never thought I'd play a Sith, now I am having trouble imagining NOT giving it a try.
It leaves:
Sith Inquisitor
Jedi Consular (still need class trailer as well)
Smuggler
Trooper
Imperial Agent
With a notation that the progression is different than the class trailer. Also with a note that Bounty Hunter Progression pretty much just showed Powertech and not Mercenary.

one interesting thing from the UI dev blog, was that in one of the screenshots we find out companions can have multiple specialties. this picture is from the darth hater friday update dissection: http://media.dhcdn.com/2011/04/5173/429diss1.jpg
in it, the companion has a +5 to bioanalysis efficiency and +5 diplomacy critcal. Maybe im wrong, but i dont think we knew they could have bonuses to multiple crew skills
if interested, the rest of their working dissection can be found here: http://darthhater.com/media/gallery/42911-friday-update-working-dissection/image/5173/#main_leaderboard
Awesome!
Hmm... Not sure about that crew skills thing, I mean bioanalysis is more of a crafting/gatherer thing and diplomacy is more of a mission oriented skill like treasure hunting.
Maybe they made it so companions can have 1 crafting / gathering skill and 1 non crafting gathering skill so the player can choose what they want to do?
maybe im misunderstanding you, but from what we know, players can choose 3 crew skills. so you dont get to assign specfic crew skills to companions. only one of the crew skills can be a crafting skill but you can also choose no crafting and any combination of gathering and mission skills. and then you can assign the companions to perform tasks within the 3 skills you chose. and from what we have been told every companion would have some kind of specialty or bonus that would allow them better chance to crit when preforming a job within those specfic skills(i.e. Vette has a bonus to treasure hunting because she is a pirate).
well Upon further thinking about it, i think maybe this is an indication of how many companions we get. So far all that has been said is more than 3, less than 10 and up to 5 working at a craft bench at a time. And according to the PC gamer US article, the writer found 14 crew skill trainers. so if we assume he found them all and and all companions have 2 specialties or bonuses, then we could be looking at 7 companions per class. This is all speculation of course.
