Don't get me wrong,right now i am just upset with SOE not any of their games.I happen to love Everquest,Everquest2 and Vanguard.After a long absense from EQ2 (little over a year) I decided it would be fun to play my ranger on mistmoore.Yes,I know the ranger is a gimped class,but i also wanted to see what changes have occured since i've been gone.
So i go to the login page,but i am not even sure if i remember my login name,and i couldn't remember my password for the life of me.So i did what anyone else would do,clicked the forgot password/Username.The e-mails finally arrived hours later.I was excited i was finally going to be able to play again.
Didn't happen.I went to answer my security question,it then sent me a temporary password that did not Work!!!!!!This point i am already pissed off.Then i find out i have to wait 24 hours before i try to get another temporary password.
So i wait the 24 hours,got the e-mail,and i got to my security question,but this time,according to them my security answer to my question magically changed cause you would think i'd know the color of my own eyes.I don't know if anyone else has had this happen,but it's pissed me off all weekend.
i don't know how the answer could of been changed to my security question unless my e-mail has been hacked and they were able to change my password the first time around,and change the answer to my security question to which i greatly doubt.
SOE is just riding the Fail Whale.

sony has had quite a few hacks in recent times more then they claim i think and some data might actually have been lost.
Yup, when I heard PS3 network getting hacked, I changed ALL my passwords to ALL things associated with my email. Just in time before they can reach my accounts.
off topic... I could never use this kind of security question since my eyes shift colour between grayish, blue and green
back on topic. Sorry to hear yout account's been comprimised. And to make things worse, the whole SOE system is off now because of it (not your account, but accounts being comprimised ). Lets hope tomorrow (or later today) you can sort things out with your account and get back to Norrath again ;-)
SOE has proven themselves incompetent in many ways but to be honest I am quite shocked that their incompetence extends to not storing credit card details securely.

Note: PlayNC will refuse to allow you access to your account if you forget your password and can't provide a scanned image of the product key for the first product you purchased..... LOL
