I did'nt even want to read your entire post. I seem to have lost track of the transitional period where online games became no longer a place where teens or our 10-12 year olds (with perental controls) can log on and enjoy a quick slashing adventure in the mmorpg land of make-believe.
Suddenly I find myself surrounded by sexual content in trade chat because of those who think like you. I was playing Aion the other day and met a 12 year old that was very educated I think she was Korean not sure. Anyhow, some guy in our alliance starts talking about what he "does" and she says "omg eew". I must say if this was my daughter or son I would really be upset. I know there is no way of stopping the mindset of people like you but God I wish there was.
The internet is filled with enough porn for you to take your "roleplaying" to yourself in a corner of your bedroom, I beseech you to keep it there and out of the games that our children play.
There is no such thing as a guild that only allows adults and adult content because honestly you don't know who posts a fake picture online posing as an adult but are really 13. Kids are curious and as parents we try to have as much control as possible on the content they are exposed to. However, with people and their "Mis-tells" or w/e you call it, this becomes hard.
Then when one of you start going through a virtual divorce OMG THE GAME IS OVER!! Please for the love of God, go have drama else where, my kids are getting old enough enough to play the games I play and I like hanging with my son online as we are both gamers. I know it's a free country and you can do what you want so I know I will probably not get people to agree with what I just said but this is my personal gripe about this dumb crap.
Ok tell you what, how about all the people who wants to "roleplay" with explicit behavior, get together and purchase a private server... omgosh I think I just found the solution for you. So this way everyone on your server will be like-minded and our children will be a lot less likely to run into your..... "roleplaying".

On a serious note though. Doing anyhting erotic in trade or general chat is something that shouldn't happen, and IMO should be a bannable offense. To say that I would make it completely against the rules would be a stretch. We've all discussed the hard times it would be to verify sex and age for everyone involved in even a guild, so I'm not sure you could really make a guild that would cater to this specifically safely. I just think it needs to be kept private you know, to me sex shouldn't be an out in the open thing like in the red light districts, but others will hate that opinion. Oh well.

I don't think the OP is looking for a cyber-sex guild. I think he's just looking for some depth to his role-playing, which isn't really a bad thing. People have sex in the real world, so what's the big deal about having sex in a virtual one? There's a lot of RP guilds out there that cater to that sort of situation and depth, and some of them are even focused on it. However those kinds of guilds generally devolve into uncreative-fu**fests that do little for the development of story or your character for that matter. Finding an RP guild that explores adult themes in a tasteful manner, now THAT is the difficult part.

Clearly you have never played EQ2 on an RP server.... I swear every time I play that game and join the RP servers 50% of the guilds are eRP (Cyber friendly guilds) Creepy as why not just play redlight district?

I would imagine because EQ2 is easier to explain to wives, husbands, family, parents, children, etc. than explaining a charge for the RLD.
People don't want to play games to have cyber sex unless those people cannot get sex in the real world.
Which happens to be the vast majority of people searching out "RP", which is, of course, just an excuse to cyber. I don't know why these freaks don't just use visual aids to help them get off like normal people who can't get any IRL.

20 Males / 12 Females (Characters)
30 Males / 2 Females (Players)
I wonder if they'd still get off knowing they were cybering with some fat, sweaty dude living in his parent's basement.

While your right that romance's play a major part in most fantasy literature, you need to realize that a big portion of the MMO market nowadays is pre-college kids who aren't mature enough to develop real "love" in a storyline without cybering or giggling every 3 words. I'm so sick of how bad roleplaying is in MMO's that im considering trying to make some friends IRL to play D&D with.
