Just got back into the game a couple of weeks ago.
The game may not be jammed packed with players around my level, like it used to be, however I am enjoying my time back in Hyboria after 2 years of absence.
still the best mmo out there by so far that its nothing less than ashaming for all other game(companies). people come back in droves, the expansion is not only visually stunning. great game.
I played for a month or so last summer and I have to agree that the PVE aspect of the game is great, not the best overall, but the general experience is great.
I would play it again in a heartbeat if they went f2p, but paying for any game in today's market is a no no for me.
Lol,, this article finally reminds me about this game....
Could ANY1 PLEASE answer this one question for me, PLS?
<Last time i played AOC, there was a *BUG where my character's 2-handed sword WOULD FLOAT IN AIR (it functioned normally BUT was not properly held in characters hand, the handle placed OUTSIDE his palm)
I know that it was just a minor bug, but it irritated me to hell:D
So if that bug is fixed (or not), please lemme know!
I've recently started playing again and my Beserker Barbarian uses a 2HE and has never come across this and I haven't seen it happen on other players.
Hope this helps
ps. since resubbing which I thought would be a one off due to curiosity to see if the games problems had been solved and I have to admit that I am loving it
Has the PvP in this game gotten any better? I never had a huge problem with the PvE content (some of the bugs, and long fight stamina was annoying), but I've always found the PvP to be very lackluster. Ques always took forever, and when I finally did manage to get into a game it wouldn't be that satisfying (kinda fun, but nothing really epic). I also havent seen much out of the guild sieges.
Why are the raping the their realist fantastic art design with oversized asian ripoff fantasy weapons. This is not wow or tera, they should not go there.
Again Funcom try and ram Craig Morrison's Khitai expansion down the player's throats. Forget Hyboria. Go 24/7 with the Chinese takeaways. 'Classic' AoC is left to fester in favour of lore-busting tiger and wolf mounts, Terracota Army lookalikes and the grindfest to end all grindfests, yes even with the 'improved progression' players with many alts (up to 11) will be spending their waking hours logging and relogging and zoning to Khitai....but doing the same stuff for each of them in the name of.......progression.
So .... did they remove Tortage yet ??!! -.- I hate that place !!! I can't even get through that place because is tooo boring after many times of recreating character, and then unsub.

Or did they make Tortage skippable ?
Rofl that is the center piece of the game. They are not taking it out lol. I almost wanted to use a descriptive phrase for your post.
Hopefully you were just joking about tortage, i cant believe anybody would be that gullible to think that.

What a stupid comment. Tortage has been one of the highlights of the game, a thought shared by both fans and haters alike. No MMO experience has ever come close to what Tortage has to offer. Sounds like you're just trolling.

I actually agree with that guy. Call it trolling if you want. Most people just call "trolling" on whatever they disagree with, but I found Tortage tedious. I know this will be shocking to your world view, but a lot of folks did too which is part of why the game has been on life support for a long while now.
Some of the new content has looked interesting to me (particularly the Asian themes that "true fans" seem to hate - go figure), but its totally inaccessible without slogging through the beginning yet again. Something Ive just never been able to hold interest long enough to do.
One of the things that kept EQ2 breathing for so long was the ability to start in a new city, as a new race, with each major expansion. So if you were sick to death of Qeynos and Freeport, and had left the game, there was something to *immediately see* upon returning.
If Funcom did something along those lines, I'd try the game out again and I suspect my fellow "troll" would as well. Until then, Ill pass.
Tortage is great, true, but when you have leveled multiple alts there its charm becomes less, especially if you know that there is no alternative to level from. EQ, WoW, LotrO, they all have multiple leveling starting places.
Luckily it's only the first 6-9 hours, after that you're off the island again.
As for the sword, I thought it was some named NPC. If it's a player sword then it's way too big.
The ease with which predictions are made on these forums: Fratman: "I'm saying Spring 2012 at the earliest [for TOR release]. Anyone still clinging to 2011 is deluding themself at this point."
Tortage is just very story driven, and some think that makes it the best part of the game, and others find it the worst. Being so story driven is a negative thing for some, but can be especially bad if it has to be repeated. It's also the reason they only have one starting area - it probably costs a lot more to make such a rich linear experience than it would to have a more basic open starting area with some low levels mobs to grind on. Crazy as it may sound to fans of linear story-driven content, some would actually prefer that.
When I want a single-player story, I'll play a single-player game. When I play an MMO, I want a massively multiplayer world.

Well I have to say the pink undies on that screen shot has to go it looks so wrong. Other than that, I feel the update is too little to late.

Unless that sword is made of paper, no way she can hold it with that skinny arm.
