So what would you do if your current playing game brings a new Class? and probably a new server as well. Will you keep playing the character like before? or shift the classes in new server?
What if the new class is stronger than the current ones?

So, uhm, why would the devs implement a "stronger" class?
Also, how do we know it is stronger? Is it our personal opinion or did they announce it "Hey dudes and dudettes, we are happy to announce our new class "Biggerbadderstronger" which will kick major ass. Somehwat unbalanced, but its fair since anyone can reroll, have fun!"?
I am very confused.
well that's becuase my current playing game is going to release a new class, from the introtuction I am quit worried about the class balance problem. Though it's little bit unbalance now, I don't want to see the major change to a new class.
This happens quite a bit to me :P
Usually just think *must try it out!* and then *how over powered and unbalanced it makes the game* followed immediately by *how long before it gets nerfed* and then occasionally *you nerfed it too much!*(if they actually care enough to try to fix it).
That all happens relatively quick too lol, but once I go through those phases it's back to my original class 95% of the time.
Seems to be pretty par for the course for most people too.
Blue Hole Studio is going to do this with tera. Right now there are 8 classes in the game, later this year the cap will be raised from lv50 to lv60 and next year they will unvail the 9th class after the players discover a new continent.
The thing is BHS has told the community in advance about this and there is a lot of speculation going around about what type of class it will be (no one knows but most think it will be a bard or monk class).
It's kinda odd but I'm just glad they told us in advance and not just spring it on us.

Been there with LotRo when MoM was released. Till then I played a Champion and got bored with it like hell. When MoM came out I immediately made a Rune-Keeper and had a much better experience.
And a new server..? No, I would not initially change server. I'd have enough stuff on my old chars to help the new one out, changing server would make me realy start all over. But when the community on my current server just sucks (like the old community on LotRo EU Snowbourn), I'll change server immediately.
I kind of prefer to not have new classes get patched into a game. It just draws too much attention to that class and singles it out in players' minds as being unfairly overpowered or underpowered. If new classes are being added, I'd prefer that it's several classes being added at once, while the original classes get revised at the same time.
When LotrO released the Rune Keeper, they basically ruined the whole Lord Of The Rings feel of the game by adding a class that shoots lightning bolts out of its fingers ala Emperor Palpatine. So no, in my experience I generally don't like it when a new class is added. Although with a little more thought and some better decisions, new classes aren't always bad.
This, however I personally don't assume the class will be overpowered/underpowered, I just always question what is this class' purpose? What is it going to bring to the table that the existing classes cant already do? Is it just for flavor or does it fulfill a desire from the community?
One of my earliest MMO's was DAOC who regularly introduced new races (with meaninful racial stat differences) and classes so I expected every MMO to follow suit and have been sorely disappointed that's not how it turned out.
Did it cause class imbalances, absolutely, but that was half the fun and charm, and eventually they got around to nerfing the overpowered classes back into a reasonable balance.
We didn't fret so much about everything being balanced back then, we just went out and had fun.

cool. thats what i would think.
cool
It's totally depends on what kind of skills the new class will have. I like range
Yeah the game Im playing is going to make new class soon and I would like to join in a new server, if they open one. But the only reason is the new class will be Vampire, that's just what I need in a game lol.
What do I think when my game brings a new class??
I think they should of added more classes or I think, they should of done this a long time ago.
cool
I dont think I can give a general answer to that. Depends upon the class etc.
I certainly liked it when I finally could give my Vanguard Cleric a subclass, back when they introduced 5 of them (War, Death, Preservation, Peace and Purity).
I certainly hated the new race and its classes in Lineage 2. I wasnt still playing the game when they introduced them, though.
Why I would switch servers is beyond me. I usually focus on ONE server at a time.
But if I could bring my already established chars and the new server has some desireable property, then yes, why not.
