How to enjoy lvl 50 Endgame Content

gessekai332gessekai332 Member UncommonPosts: 861

Just in case people did not know this, I certainly did not after soloing my way to lvl 50 through linear quest lines.

1) Join an organized guild that does a lot of guild based parties and raids at least once a week

2) Enjoy the the increased amount of t1/t2s, expert/raid rift parties, that are suddenly available to you now.

3) Aspire to be one of the best in your guild in a certain role (Support, dps, tank, healer, etc) so that you can help your guild clear the end game raid dungeons (95% of all guilds have yet to kill greenscale). This will give you enough incentive to hunt for better gear, learn different builds, make the most efficent macros, learn the raid strategies etc. This alone should be enough to sustain you indefinitely.

4) Make friends with you guildmates along the way.

To sum it up, you need to learn to play on a dedicated team to enjoy endgame, which is actually pretty fun in the end, since beating the hardest raid content requires a lot of teamwork and cooridnation due to difficult boss mechanics.

Most memorable games: AoC(Tryanny PvP), RIFT, GW, GW2, Ragnarok Online, Aion, FFXI, FFXIV, Secret World, League of Legends (Silver II rank)

    I like this.

For those that are spamming about not having stuff to do or that they are board. I say to them "You are playing it wrong!".

Most good MMO's are made to be a kind of sandbox at endgame. Sure they all have limits and Rift is no different. The thing is that you can look at the same glass aof water and  (depending on your personality) see it as half full or half empty. I am the half full type.

There are points I look at in endgame and decide if it's worth continuing. Often times I research that before even spending money on a game to start with since it's usually $30 to $50 to get into a game to start with and a subscription. Have I been let down by games in the past with bad gameplay or bad endgame? Sure...but Rift is not one of those games.

Follow the steps listed above and you too can become part of the half full crowd.

Good list to follow.. I myself am preparing for raids.. I never touched the dungeons in Rift, and now im lvl 43 and find myself interested.. Ran FC and KB a few times today and am getting better at playing as a tank during instances.. Still havin a blast with this game.. But i think i owe all that to my very active (50-100 players ONLINE at all times) and very large guild that pushes me to do new stuff each time i log..

The problem is, is that the dungeons are completely static and are fairly easy. Combine this with the fact that all Tier 1 and 2 dungeons are just harder versions of what you already did while leveling up, and its easy to get bored of the raiding content fairly quickly.

My guild has been running dungeons for weeks now, doing the dailies each night, and yes they do get boring. Ive done LH so many times at this point I think I could run it while sleeping. It doesnt help that some times you will clear an entire dungeons and recieve nothing but crappy blue gear, at least this is being fixed in 1.2.

Its not a bad game, and I enjoy Rift as a whole, but its end game needs a lot of work, or at least more added to it so I am not logging in each day and doing the same exact thing as I did yesterday.

MMOs are meant to be played in groups. Unfortunately they have turned into Massively Multiplayer Single Player Experience. Many people go into the game wanting to do solo content and do group content as an afterthought.

These games were supposed to be an online version of the tabletop role playing games. The pull of that was the ability to socialize deeply with friends in a fictional world where you would only be limited by your imagination.

Its refreshing when someone actually finds the core principle of these types of games and begins enjoying things the way they were truly meant: with friends.

I suggest you restart the game and have as your mentality a shared experience with your friends and guildies and you will see just how much more fun you will have. It doesn't have to be something you do only at level 50.
