US TERA Online Release Date

Good Morning Everyone :)

 

I found this on GameStop's website this morning:

A release date of 9/16/2011 with a price of $49.99

    These dates do not count anything actually aslong as the developer doesn't announce a release-date officially.

    September sounds reasonably, but I wouldn't hold my breath there.

    Websites pedict release dates until the official one is announced, this means nothing.

    As others have stated, the dates are meaningless until the company behind the game releases a date, unfortunately.

    Gamestop had Rift's release date posted as 3/1/2011 back in November proof

    Trion announced the release date in January..just sayin

    EDIT: Not to mention that Frogster has come in agreement with Ubisoft to distribute the game in Europe just few days ago.

    The current plan is to try to release NA and EU at the same time.

    I wish!..im very eager to give a shot to Tera...  i wanna also try  archage ,guild wars 2 and finaly secret world... if im not happy with any of these mmorpg i will quit to play mmos :p

    It amazes me how many people speak with no clue what they're talking about.    Fact is gamestop and other retailers do get the release date before the public they would not put a release date down on the site unless someone who is involved in tera told them that date.   You can look at other games that have no release date if they guess on other games why not just guess on all of them ?    id say 50/50 that is the correct date because for that to be right the US beta has to go right with no delays.

    Please someone tell me that this not yet another clone!

    I heard it had real combat in it, you know where you have to actually aim in it like Darkfall.

    If this is just another EQ clone and people still buy like RIFT was then really there is no future in MMOs and no hope for the type of mentally ill people that can play the same game play endlessly over different games just re-skinned.

    Well, Darkfall has an hard targeting system, a pure fps with gravity and physics, Tera is soft targeting, mean the targeting is manual but you lock the target with the crosshair. when a mob is in the crosshair reticule and you press the attack button the shoot will follow the target and hit the target at 100%. Surely you can parry too, aka the combat system is more dynamic compared to the bored TAB targeting RNG spamfest. Is a step in the right direction.

    My advice is try it out in open beta when they release it and judge yourself.
