Behind the Name - The Eminence
Eminence [em·i·nence] is defined as a high station, ranking, or repute. It's origin is from late Middle English, based off of the Latin word eminere, which means to stand out.
A guild in whole is only viewed as greatly as the members that carry the name, so while a name alone can mean merely nothing, it can also represent something extravagant; And The Eminence expects to hold no less of a notable title, so we expect the members to carry themselves just as pronounced.
Focus - PvP and PvE
Our focus will be both PvP and PvE. While our main focus is primarily PvP, like almost all MMORPGs, there is great gain through PvE. Level and skill gain is a givin, but also the gain of items. What better way to slaughter our enemies than with the epic items and knowledge gained in PvE?
We plan to have weekly events for both PvP and PvE activities.
Guild Ranks
The Eminence has a total of six ranks; the founder, two officer ranks and three member ranks.
Guild Leader (Founder)
The Founder of The Eminence whom oversees the harmonious integration of the guild's ideals and their online representation.
Magistrate (Officer)
Only five members of The Eminence will hold this respected title. A Magistrate must not only prove to be as great as an Overseer, but also show extensive knowledge in the class of his or her Faction.
Overseer (Officer)
An Overseer is a member whom has proven him or herself to be up to standards as that of an Elder and beyond. He or she is the leader of his or her respective House within his or her Faction and has shown great skills in leadership.
Elder (Member)
An Elder has proven his or her dedication to the guild through both longevity and as a representative embodying the guild ideals. By holding the title of Cohort for at least 6 months in good standing and by serving the guild in action, word, and ruthless slaughter on the battlefield, you become part of this respected division of the guild.
Cohort (Member)
At this rank you have established yourself as one of character in line with the ideals of The Eminence. You are now considered a full member and have proven your dedication to the guild. In order to gain this rank you must be in the guild at least 2 weeks.
Vassal (Member)
This rank is for members that are still new and unknown to the guild. As a new recruit the benefits of the guild will not be great and it is your responsibility to prove yourself truly worthy to the guild.
Factions
The Eminence is divided into what we call Factions and Houses to help organize and maintain the guild under good leadership.
There are five factions within the guild, each one lead by a Magistrate (officer):
Hex Faction - Force Master Classes
Bane Faction - Destroyer Classes
Shadow Faction - Assassin Classes
Blade Faction - Blade Master Classes
Taoist Faction - Kung-Fu Master Classes
Within each Faction there are Houses. A House consists of 5-10 members and one officer, an Overseer. Each House Overseer is in charge of his or her House, making sure conflicts are kept to a minimum and all members remain active. In addition, Overseers help lead in both PvP and PvE battles while watching over the progression of the fray.

Membership - Expectations
If you are interested in joining The Eminence, you should understand what we expect from our members.
Respect
We expect all members to show respect for their fellow guild mates. Friendly joking is always more than welcome, but please be sure not to take things too far.
Activity
We also seek active members. We understand that this is a game, and the players do indeed have lives they must attend to, but regular game activity and the ability to attend guild events is a feature we seek - we're not asking you to play 6+ hours every day, just don't be inactive for 7+ days at a time without prior notice.
Cooperation
We can not have successful game play and progression unless the members can cooperate and work together. Cooperation is vital in any guild and is the root of organization and success. If you have an issue with a member, please take it up with an officer and we will do our best to solve it while avoiding any further conflict.
