Wizard Vs Warlock

I have a level 22 Wizard and I was hunting with a level 20 Warlock on my new found druid and he was crazy. Just wondering do warlocks hit harder? I figured a Wizard would dealing with the elements and not poison which I figured would be more dot and not dd.

Wizards are more direct damage, Warlocks are more Damage over Time.
go here they seem to have about the same amount of DD or DoT spells just some have different effects and elements. so if something is more prone to poison or disease, then of course the warlock is going to look better. but, since you have already chosen your archetype you cannot go back...i guess you could reroll if you wanted to bad enough though.
