I agree, I hope the land mass is huge enough to "get lost in".
Yes there are but you bring up a good point. I hope the world is indeed "open" so that if flying mounts/vehicles are ever implemented you could "go anywhere".

well, some are more impassable than others.
and not everyone has the physical requirements to pass every mountain.
I imagine that there are areas in various mountina regions that are just not passable. In which case people have to find an appropriate path/area to travel through.
To me that's a good thing as it lends some credence to mountains being "mountains" as opposed to areas in the game world where one just needs to "go up for a while before they go down".

Not sure it has anything I don't see elsewhere. The landscape reminds me of AoC, the character models remind me of Lineage. I watched a few gameplay videos on YouTube but it didn't immedately make me want the game.
I'm not sure what i'm even looking for any more. Quests? No. Gorgeous scenery? Got the T-Shirt. Who knows? I just wish something would come along that is totally sandbox, like UO was.
I dont know if im sure what i want in a MMO anymore either. I think Arche Age and Dark &Light's relaunch are my only hope. Ever since i played D&L ive been looking for a similar world. There isnt one though, at least not yet.
I read somewhere Arche Ages world will be the size of all of WoWs continents pre expacs. No i dont have the link

Info is pretty limited, but from what i understand Snailgames bought the rights to D&L and are going to launch it as Savage Horizion. Here are a few links
