According to IGN and Eurogamer apparently beta for guild wars 2 will be coming within the next quarters of the year, VERY EXCITED .

End of the year beta but really doubt any kind of release this year.

We've known this for months, there is no specification of open or closed in the articles I've read.  When they talk about open beta then wake me up.
