Is the horse lineage stuff still going to make it in?
I haven't heard anything to the contrary, so I believe all of the previous information regarding the Dawn expansion would still be valid.
I believe this is essentially extra information about Dawn.

I'm still not sure about the whole Basshunter thing.

I am glad they are finally added much needed core features. But until they have real working AI, immersive dungeons, a working War system, territory control that means something, real loot from mobs not just thier bodies. I will not be playing. I did the trial twice, I will do it again after Dawn. The world was pretty empty and there was no reason to pvp besides epeening.
The one thing that bothered me more often than not was every mob I fought it seemed I was fighting inside of it and the hitboxes were real buggy. Hopefully the hitboxes and collision detection will be fixed as well.
I understand what you're saying. I agree, the AI does still need some work. I believe they've said that the AI, along with the rest of the GUI and magic, are going to be a major focus post-Dawn.

That's cool I hope something is done with the magic I chose not to test it during my trial from watching videos and talking to other players. It looks very basic and only looks like 4 spells are used over and over.
Is mortal still on life support? The playerbase still tiny? Riddled with bugs still? I really really want to play it but as long as it has all of those, I cannot. So if anyone can answer that would be nice.

Kootenay: "While breeding won't be in with Dawn, as said before, there will be chances that herds will have members that have mutations, either they will look slightly different or will have different stats than the rest of the flock."
I can tell you that the game is still being played, and that the playerbase is large enough to play with. I can also tell you that the game has improved remarkably from a technical standpoint. But, the result would be the same: you'd be taking the word of a stranger on the internet. I like it, you may or may not.
The game has a free trial. Best way to find out if a game is for you or not is to try it.

I also agree. I don't have a full mage either (though I've got a hybrid character with some magic abilities), so can't really speak from personal experience on playing one. Those that I play with are pretty effective though.
The game does need more schools of magic available, and improved flash effects. I believe those are the types of things they'll be working on. I haven't heard any type of timeframe, unfortunately.
EDIT: The CM has added some clarification on the house teleporting rules: http://www.mortalonline.com/forums/62023-feedback-house-teleportation.html#post1147467

The CM did answer some additional questions about the Reserve system here:

I for one am a unmounted archer/pet build. I run everywhere. Without a horse. It's grinding enough doing so...but now this?
From my understanding of the new system, this destroys this kind of build, and the freedom of other builds for many other people, and gives it even more so the famous nickname "mounted online" I'm not sure if I'm going to like this.."
Right now the Purified Water sold at the catalyst vendor provides an excellent drink should you find your stamina low. Carrying a little bit of water, or some other previsions should you go on a long journey or a march over the entire continent is highly advised.
Should you fail to pack any form of nourishment or refreshment, it's always possible to sleep anywhere. It's not going to get your reserves up, but it is going to repair them just enough to be back at full health, stamina, and mana. Sure it's not as fast as eating or drinking something, but you can still do it.
You will have to exert quite the effort in order to fully deplete your stamina pools from full. Granted several deaths will cause all of your pools to plummet, but death should always have consequences with it so that people are simply not able to resurrect, grab a random sword out of the bank or the floor, and start killing people again.
Take a small break, if you know good cooks, then it won't even be a minute worth of down time. Should you have no cooking, or previsions, or access to water, then you can always sleep to at least come back to "normal".

Muhuhuhaha... dawn is gonna be so great!
Really good job guys, I cannot wait until it's in!!
Are you referring to being able to loot body parts, or having animals drop stuff like swords and equipment? Because the former I can see coming when they add in cooking, the latter they said very early on that animals would only drop things they could conceivably hold.
From the fact that he's not playing and his laundry list of how things should change, I suspect he means swords and equipment.
Just to point out tho, with the introduction of cooking, the body parts become more valuable.
There are lots of stuff I think will improve the MO experience for me ...
1. solo player houses
2. Food/water system ... very interesting system here
3. The need to sleep. Just imagine having to sleep in the forest ....
4. Reserv system.
5. Trade tools
6. Delivery system
7. Message system
8. Task system
9. New creatures ( I assume checking some of the screenshots)
10. New areas.
11. Saddle bags
12. More points of interest
13. Improved (gfx) on Jungle as it looks like on screenshoots)
Yes to the equipment. I do not think I am asking for much if I kill a monster that has equipment on it, it should drop it. Does his sword and armor disintegrate as soon as he hits the ground??
@ Osmunda. I played the trial 2x and I will play it again after the patch. I have a laundry list of things I want because to me it is a very incomplete game. I am sure it is not only me or the game would have a much better retention rate.
My only curiosity is if this update/patch/expansion/whatever is going to be bug free.
They have a track record of zero for however many updates they've put out.
Why focus on the bugs? And not on the features that get in the game, and when it is out, we can discuss the bugs (if any) then? Lets stay on topic!
Oh, I'm not focused on the bugs. But if the update comes out and it's bug ridden as has been basically *everything* they have ever deployed, then it will take a lot of the "awesomeness" away from the game as a whole.
Honestly I would love to see a bug free deployment.
This is hardily a great expansion, it adds a couple of basic features to the game with new house textures. I hope it works out well for them, better get that combat desync fixed
Hmm, what combat desync? There is no such thing as we speak!
Out of the 14 years I've been playing MMOs.. I don't think I've ever seen a bug free deployment for any large patch. In fact I don't think there's a single multi-player game out there, that is 100% bug free.
I also don't think I've ever seen a bug free major patch or expansion for an MMO.
Some seem intent on promulgating unreasonable expectations for Dawn. Personally, I believe it will have at least some bugs. All of them do. I'm more concerned with how the features of the expansion improve the overall game experience.
