MMO's you CANNOT stand!

What are some MMO's you just hate, & why?

I cannot stand Allods anymore, honestly I find it easy, but not no more, it seems super laggy for me recently.

Runescape, its go to go. Its getting over-rated and the wild is a kill fest.

Pokemon Online, they troll me with so many yo momma jokes, I think I'm in a daycare.

WoW, played it for years off and on. Had fun but it attracted the absolute worst community on the internet. As long as my friends were on it was ok, but, eventually I just hated it.

    Rift.

    Runescape.

The two most boring games I've ever played.

Aion. I was interested in flying combat and then you couldn't fly in half the game. Also grind was repetitive. There were no builds - i.e. everyone was the same. And no matter what I did, I couldn't get my character to look like anything but a girly-man.

I have to agree with Aion. The grind....oh god the grind...

    imageMy WoW experience exactly.

Eve Online.  You have to watch progress bars for weeks before you can even grind sensibly.  Then the grinding really begins.  Missions are boring and repetitive.  The community is meh.  You have the potential to do some cool things but you'll watch progress bars for months before you can realize that potential and the entire time you're paying for nothing.

world of warcraft for sure. They ruined the genre , and started all the F2P wow carbine copies.   Brought in 4-12 year olds and pushed us mature gamers out on the street where we were forced to run back to older games and more sanbox style mmorpgs like how the genre started.... Those of you who started with world of warcraft im sorry , you really joined the genre at a terrible money making , greedy time where imagination went out the window , and stream lined subscriber addicting machines were created to take the place of great games like everquest 1 and dark age of camelot , anarchy online. WTF happened to games like those? its all just easy mode , quest hub to quest hub games now where raids only hold 20 ppl and take about 1 attempt before u have it mastered lol...  anyone remember the days of 200 player raids on the plane of hate and fear =P?

Asian games due to thier fetich with huge weapons, cute bears and teenage girl hero classes.

If it's not broken, you are not innovating.

Eve Online, I want to like it.. I have tried it like 5 times but I just cant stand it. The feature list indicates its the perfect game for me.. but I hate it for some reason.

    Remember Old School Ultima Online

    RFOnline ...

Anything that requires you spam potions to compete in PvP is my bane.

Also any mmo with arenas ...

Arena's killed the open world .. star.

Another vote for WoW from me.

Not just have I found it shallow, simple, and really bloody boring, but the 'people' I met whilst trying to play kinda put the final nail in the coffin.

It may have opened up the genre for millions, but as far as I'm concerned, the vast majority of those weren't wanted and practically destroyed the MMO community as a whole.

I dont hate WoW it keeps alot of the idiots out of other games.

what i hate is games who try to copy WoW.  im sick and tired of it, we never get anything new its allways some stupid ass game with 2 factions, battlegrounds, instances, " end game " all the crap i hate.

Any MMO with PvP - and especially those that advertise this as one of their outstanding features.  PvP is so boring and silly, I can't stand it.  RvR is something else altogether and espeically RvR with three sides such as DAOC and Planetside.  Those are my games of choice!

But if you are an MMO with rampant PvP or small isolated battlegrounds, I hate it and won't even try your game.

a thread about hating stuff is just negative for negative sake guys.

    rpg/mmorg history: Dun Darach>Bloodwych>Bards Tale 1-3>Eye of the beholder > Might and Magic 2,3,5 > FFVII> Baldur's Gate 1, 2 > Planescape Torment >Morrowind > WOW > oblivion > LOTR > Guild Wars (1900hrs elementalist) Vanguard. > GW2(1000 elementalist), Wildstar

Now playing GW2, AOW 3, ESO, LOTR, Elite D

Lotro because Turbine took all that was so good about Lotr and made it bad. Combat is stagnant, the world is so dull and boring and now they managed to turn this into a f2p cash shop game. The ip deserves a better developer.

Some of the games I have tried and disliked and, in some cases, outright hated:  Cabal, RF Online, Shaiya, Perfect World, Age of Armour, Requiem, Ether Saga, Runes of Magic, Allods Online, Aion, Priston Tale, Star Trek Online.  That's just the ones I bothered to write down my account details and passwords.  There must be at least the same again that I've never even bothered to do that much.

    Fully secondarized. Really a shame.

    Also:

    - AOC for phasing of public zones

    - WAR (for being such a layed-out themepark and managing to remove excitement from pvp)

    - All super-hero games. No exceptions! (I didn't grow up with those IP's so I really don't feel any appeal whatsoever).

The NGE. The second I saw the changes, I knew it would be a disaster. I gave SOE the benefit of the doubt and at least tried it... but it was even more terrible than I had imagined. A fine, if somewhat flawed (but not beyond repair), game turned to crap in one single update.

Unfortunately, I had subscribed for a whole year and was about 6 months in when it happened if I remember right. I waited patiently just logging in now and then to relist stuff on my storage vendor, hoping it would improve, but when the time was up, I took all my stuff... and I had lots of it... expensive stuff... thanks to being a crafter... and put it all on my vendor for 1 credit per item. Then I ran out naked, took some screenshots of the crumbling abandoned city that I had once ruled for a period of time and logged off while being spammed with mail from all the stuff that was being ripped off my vendor. Never logged on to SWG since then and never will.

I'm a big ol' fluffy carewolf. Be afraid. Be very afraid.

    1. EVE: It was the only game ever that I just sat there and said..."Why am I doing this, this is so pointless." The only other time I say that is when I'm doing statistics of unimportant things, like the DNA of people in a giant fantasy city, and other weird counting/statistic stuff that I catch myself doing once in a while. Funny because I don't really see how it is like statistics, but I get the same feeling. Also, I hate the playerbase, most are conceited bigots.

    2. Warhammer, EQ, GW and Vanguard: Didn't play the games very long so I don't hate the gameplay or playerbase, but the graphics annoyed me, and Warhammer's even gave me headaches. I don't know why, as there are plenty of games with similar graphic styles to these games that didn't annoy me.

    3. Rift: Likely a temporary annoyance, but sick of hearing about it.

RIFT - Sweet sweet xerox love.

Anything P2W - Flat fee for mah games please. If games want more profit, make better games, not more items.

DCUO - It failed so amazingly bad. It should die.

Cannot stand, maybe a little bit harsh but anyway: LOTRO. Why?

Wast empty world; no players, no real threat from NPCs as they are wide and far apart. And for some reason I felt the game turned the world of the films and the story of the books into trash. Good looking game, just strange to be all alone in an MMO.

All F2P games I've ever played, I'll never play anyone of them again ever, which also applies to LOTRO.
