    It's already been hinted that the last class is a mind-tricking-illusionist. So even if it's not a mesmer, I'd still play.

     

    Actually, even if it's not an illusionist at all, as long as the role fits well with the other classes, I'd play.

    of course im gonna play. Even though mesmer is really interesting in gw1, I have never tried it, so if they don't release it I wouldn't know what I'm missing, therefore I don't care.

    Not like they cant add another class down the road after launch , to answer question yes i would because am totally psyched for playing engie now .

    It's very likely it will be the mesmer. But yes, even though mesmer was my main in GW1, I'll still play. All of the other classes were fun too.

    Hell yeah!  In fact, I'd play if they didn't release another profession at this point.  I'm frothing at the mouth for GW2 to finally come out!

    Absolutely positively.

     

    Not sure what class to pick however, might just go with Elementalist instead of since Ele was my first profession in GW1.

    Or I might go with Guardian, since that one does seem to have some quite neat abilities.

     

    Regardless, i'd be playing, I don't think there's any class I would't be able to enjoy in GW2 as all of them seems very distinct from one another.

    Absolutely.

    I have two characters in mind, a Mesmer and an Engineer, both are important to me. If there was no Mesmer, then I'd simply have one character to be devoted to as opposed to two.

    what kind of question is this? miss out to play gaming history because mesmer didnt make the cut? holy crap this is the most useless thread i have ever seen of course NO ONE WHATSOEVER would not play the game because mesmer isnt in the class system "do it i dare you to not include the mesmer if you dont i wont play"  "your loss"

    Queen Jennah, the queen of humans in gw2, is a mesmer. just fyi.

    Most memorable games: AoC(Tryanny PvP), RIFT, GW, GW2, Ragnarok Online, Aion, FFXI, FFXIV, Secret World, League of Legends (Silver II rank)

    And in the first book and then there are a ton of quotes from Anet which together confirm it to the point where I'm 100% sure the mesmer is returning with the name mesmer but ignoring all that I would still play if the mesmer was not in but I would be both suprised and disappointed.

    You think this thread is useless? Well, maybe BUT it is at least not a carbon copy of a million thread before it. I mean look at this forum (and all others). Most of the threads have been posted 5 million times now :D Aren't those copies of the same topic useless as well? Yet so many people post in them repeating the same thing over and over again :)

    I don't even like Mesmers, I played all professions in GW1 except for mesmer. I'd rather have them bring Dervish back.

    As long as they allow a Free use of a Barber Shop if they add that function to the game it is all good.

    I agree. Most, if not all, threads don't really repay such a service as to deem themselves 'useful'.

    That said, refusing to play a game because your desired class isn't in it is just plain retarded...and probably a lie. Play the game for the game, not for the few vaguely familiar spells you enjoyed from another game. Even if the mesmer is in GW2, it's likely to be a much different experience to the mesmer everyone knows, right now.

    Also, it'd be no one whatsoever +1, not -1.
