I don't put games down in order to justify WoW. I put other games down on their own merits (or lack thereof). Sorry you can't make the distinction.

I did the whole valid points/arguments thing long ago (in fact right after I beta'd it). At the time I was treated like I was criticising what was unquestionably the best game ever created bar none.
It's apparent now that the majority of people who play EQ2 are either disappointed with it, very disappointed with it, or they've stopped playing it, so I feel kind of vindicated.
The point of posting in this thread, however, was to pick up the 15 year old kid on his baseless and false criticism of WoW. He's managed to buy into the silly myth that EQ2 is the "hardcore" game for grownups and that he's somehow special if he plays it, and that's exactly the kind of confused mindset that SOE targets with their games, and good luck to him, but WoW's superiority in the MMORPG world is now set in stone and only the truly ignorant are unable to see it.
EDIT: Please do note that I only posted in this thread because I was rattled at 00000000's comments and that I don't intend to post any more on the subject of EQ2. The game is clearly dead. No awards, no polls won, rated #10 on MMORPG.COM. It's over guys. Good luck to you if you enjoy it, despite its huge catalog of flaws.
