I have a hard time feeling for this guy when he says that Lego Universe has over 100 hours of content and took 5 years to make. My 6 year old and I played it through in less than 25 hours and yes, we did everything in the game, we raced and earned achievements on both racetracks, found all the pets, built homes and explored every place we could find. This is the trouble with MMO devs these days, they have a totaly different idea of what content is. They make a racetrack that takes 3 minutes to race on and they call it 20 hours of content because they expect you to race on it by yourself, with friends, in the basic car, in a different car that goes the exact same speed and then with or without your race helmit on.
If any of you have kids, its a fun game but you can get through most of the content with just the free trial and you dont have to play everyday to do it.
"Sean (Murray) saying MP will be in the game is not remotely close to evidence that at the point of purchase people thought there was MP in the game." - SEANMCAD
Its very simple. If you know that the product you are making is going to suck, working on it must be hell. But if you are convinced that the product is going to be great and actually know something about game design, then you will be excited to work on it.
