I never did get around to trying this game, so starting out on a down-played "kiddy" version of what was a mature game probably won't give me the greatest first impression.

If that is the case i'll probably just not bother at all, there is another "mature" rated F2P releasing around the same time anyways, called Kabod, so I might just give that a whirl instead.

They are not "selling an unrated version". They are simply losing the limitation of developing the game to earn the "Mature" rating - meaning it will be "Unrated". It's the same game, with less limitations in visual and story develoment. In principal, a good thing, in my opinion.

There are no separate servers for the free play, there is just raid and other content that can't be accessed unless you pay for full access, and a few other things. That means everything you see will be the same - there is no "kiddy" version.

Trust me though, you don't want to play AoC just3duh, because the game isn't "WoW with boobies" like some people say. Apparently, the most important thing to you is the rating, not the game play, and it's for people who want to play a real game, not just look at naked women (not that we cant' enjoy that too, but that's not the main point of AoC).

    ;)

Have played: Everquest, Asheron's Call, Horizons, Everquest2, World of Warcraft, Lord of the Rings Online, Warhammer, Age of Conan, Darkfall
