I am...amazed. I'm a very big crafter, and the ability to plant my own forest and shape the world will be just amazing. Come to NA! Self-publish the game if necessary! :P

Its basically like little big planet with CryEngine Sanbox 3, in the idea that letting players using intuitive UI to access into CryEngine and build the terrain themselves

Game looks sweet. It's definately something new, or at least something that breaks the mold. Can't wait for this to come out.
If I had a choice of GW2 or this , I think I would play this game hands down.

Its probably a good thing or the whole game would be a forest, seems like you can plant them anywhere. You could plant a forest and come back in a week or whatever and cut them down yourself too.
For me its all about freedom to do what you want and being able to plant a forest is crazy cool!! Not to mention vegtables and flowers.

this is cool, it means you dont have to run around the whole world looking for resources too, how we build a mine will be interesting to see
Depending on the time it takes for the trees to actually grow, this could really cheapen the cost of leveling the Woodworker (or whatever they plan to call it) and enable one to level really fast! For some this will be a turn off, but for me, the faster and cheaper the better! As each month passes, this game continues to find new ways of really impressing me.
Every video I see makes this game look better and better. Very impressive.

Ok whats abit weird in this Preview, that you can not see where you first planted your other Trees.
But still, really cool - that's also the thing that removes my complaining thoughts when I first said "the vast landscape looks empty". Well yes it looks empty, because you can actually fill it with life.

Stay away from northern continent and the open seas and you don't have to deal with FFA PvP :facepalm:
Anybody notice how the horse didn't despawn, it just followed him/her around. Possible that the mounts don't despawn?
They ain't no Pokémon. Spawning and despawning mounts isn't what I want to see anyways in that regard.

The USDA Forest Service is hiring I think... If you're that impressed by being able to plant trees go do it for real, make money, get exercise, and save the environment all at the same time!
Planting a forest is cool? Well maybe in RL but in an MMORPG?
We already have Farmville and Xyson (or whatever it is called). I hope ArcheAge focus more on combat and conflict than planting flowers.

There are buttons (probably bound to hotkeys as well) to control your mount. You can choose to ride on it, you can make it follow you around or you can despawn it. The user in the video just decided to go for the second option
The game makes it clear on just how bad murder is and actually encourages other players to punish those who would want to do that. It does not take carebearish stance on it, but it makes sure players are safe and that everyone recognizes the consequences of ending someone's life.
Now ocean and the third continent? Thats the true thing of bloody stuff, and the rewards for the risks you would take, comparable to eve's nullsec. If you wanted your house to be in lone island, or the lush and good places of the lawless zones, you better be prepared to spill blood defending the place. Of course if you are building your home in unmapped unknown island in the middle of bloody ffa zone, you yourself most likely have some very bloody intentions towards other players.

Mounts are not items you just use. There's surprising depth in the system.

I often wonder why people like you care about stuff like this. If you don't like it... well don't do it. There are some of us who enjoy aspects like this in a game. I hope they concentrate and focus on many different aspects. If you're looking for nothing but combat and conflict go play MO or DFO. They're all about strife, hardship, combat and conflict. You'd fit right in.
I personally want a well-rounded MMO. One that focuses not just on combat and conflict (as most MMO's do) but on other things like housing, crafting, politics and hell if they want to toss some gardening/farming in, I think that would be awesome. Pet breeding is also a cool one that Dofus has and Wakfu will actually have a ecosystem that can be depleted if precautions are not taken. Stuff like that is what makes an MMO and unfortunately too many of them focus soley on combat/conflict in my opinion.
