I enjoyed it , completed the main game and all achievments within 4 days , its good but not great , and once you have finished it there is absoulutely no reason to go back to it.
It does get boring towards the end.
And its certainly not as groundbreaking as the hype might suggest.
I was let down. The linearity, lack of choice, lack of consequence for failing and sometimes the utter pointlessness of entire groups of investigations, contrasted with the gorgeous beautiful environment so poorly put to use.
Also the main char is completely unsympathetic and you've got absolutely no say in his char development at all.
While the game was somewhat fun to play, overall I felt the drawnbacks outweighed the plusses. I kept waiting for the game to meet its potential. Definately no replay value.
I am willing to concede though that the root of my disappointment may be in the expectation of it being a Rockstar game. Though given the environement they provided to play in, it was a fair expectation.
Ultimately a cross between Heavy Rain and GTA, without the storyline being as engaging as Heavy Rain's and without the sheer open world things to do as GTA.
An enjoyable experience with some niggling flaws. I think my biggest disappointment so far has been attempting to incapacitate a fleeing criminal with a shot to the leg only to have him drop dead two rounds later from lead poisoning or severe blood loss. The street crimes feel like an after-thought to kid the user into feeling the game has some open-ended aspects, certainly the majority I have attended thus far have followed a rather formulaic path. You arrive, a cop usually gets shot, you proceed to kill anything holding a weapon.
This is only compounded by the fact that the mechanics for taking criminals down without the use of lethal force is quite clearly in the game, and features heavily in the central cases. The driving is also something of a nightmare, with outrageously twitchy steering that can have you veering into pedestrians and street lamps with the faintest of touches.
Investigations, and more importantly the questioning process, feels a litle too constrained given the huge hype built up for the game. The three choices you can make, while logical, are a little too vague given the wealth of information available to you. It appears they tried a little too hard to streamline the main selling point of the game and could have done with fleshing it out a bit more. Selecting the relevant piece of evidence to support an accusation can also be something of a hit and miss experience, especially when there are multiple entries for a single thread of evidence
Despite all these minor issues the game is very enjoyable, with only one major plot-based moment of unadulterated rage as my lack of options in one case led me down a predictable path at a later date. Despite what people have said above the game has some replayability unless you manage to ace every case on your first playthrough, assuming you can stomach the lengthy dialogues.
A flawed masterpiece. Like painting the Mona Lisa with a lazy eye.
Just go to youtube and find the lets play videos for this game. I watched several and it's a dull yawn fest. Has nothing to keep any mmo player or rpg player interested.
I'll wait till its in the cheap bin but I do want it. Well maybe I'll wait till I can get a cheaper used copy. I'm glad to know a game like this is selling well. Hopefully we'll see fewer fps pvp multimap yawn fests.
I don't understand why every gamesite try make this game sound so good? The story sucks, the animations are not that great even with the motion scanner.
Every mission you do is pointless and boring. The end of the game is fail.
The city is large but you can't do shit in it!
I don't like it at all. AND I'm not trying to troll. After you play it, you see it's not a Rockstar game... just published by them...
One more stupid thing that get on my nervs with this game... you CAN'T jump when you feel like. So if you are stuck at a little place being 10cm high you can't do shit about it. So freaking stupid lol!

And just to add very very easy too
Definitely not the best month in offline gaming this year.

I'm still playing Red Dead Redemption and loving it. Now this game comes along and it looks like allot of fun too!
