Just as we saw for FFXIV an Rift and now history will repeat itself with TOR. They will buy in to the hype then come to find out later that it was less then what they expected. You people hate negativity yet you refuse to listen to negitive views because your passion is clouding your opinion on the topic.
if you are not going to play the game then what do you care?

Really. Why does anybody that actually likes what they see in TOR have to agree with your negative opinions.
These arent arguments, no one on the "TOR IS GOD!" side is making arguments, just running circles and playing with their dicks.
How about this you monkeys, history fucking repeats itself, and pride clouds peoples judgement. There, both your questions answered.

Star Wars is arguably the most beloved IP in the world.
Thats why people care.
Care about what? If TOR is a game that is not to your liking, there is still SWG to go back to. TOR is what it is and from my opinion, does the SW IP very proud.
Yeah, because everyone knows that Star Wars Galaxies is a good game.
Come on, dude. Even you know that thats bull. SW:TOR is quite possibly the last Star Wars MMORPG to be made in most of our lifetimes. And if its disappointing a lot of people, then thats why. So if you like it, thats great, but there's a lot of people who don't and thats upsetting to them. You have to see the logic in that.

Perhaps I like giving people views on "the other side of the coin". If there was not different view points on the forums then every game would be nice & sweet, and that would be quite the injustice for all the people that do not have the mindless passion of the fans of TOR or anyother game for that matter.
What "other side of the coin"? You reference reviewers that admit to never playing the game and yet I am supposed to believe your negativity?
"If half of what you tell me is a lie, how can I believe any of it?"
Also, no the scale doesnt make it innovative if the system itself is poorly implimented like I stated previously. Your telling me because they took a system that works for Single-Player games, a tried and tested method thats been in KOTOR, Jade Empire, Etc. and then they put a dice roll behind it and you call it innovation?
It's innovating when it hasn't been done in MMO's before, also it's an innovation of the questing system, you only have to look at how quests are working currently in MMO's.
So theoretically then, I could take a shit in a box, label it an MMO and sell to you for 50 bucks, plus sub fee's and it would be innovative?
Ok so lets say by that standard definition it is innovative... In fact no, im going to go ahead and say your right, and im wrong.
Ill admit, its innovative. But is it strong innovation or weak innovation? Its weak innovation because its letting the player take command of a situation and then as soon as another player steps in, a random dice roll says whose right and whose wrong. Thats not player interaction, thats the game mechanics stepping forth and deciding for you.
Now again, why is this weak innovation? Because BIoware and all the TORheads are going on about how you get a choice and it effects your gameplay, well no, it doesnt. It effects gameplay up until the part where you have to interact with another player (In an MMO mind you) and then it just shits on the whole concept.
Sorry guys, Innovation can happen in an MMO and if the kind of innovation you want is some weak, half ass programmed dice roll than go ahead. But dont argue here on the forums and whine and complain about people hating your game when you cant formulate an opinion that isnt jaded as hell.

What other side of the coin. You mean your side. This site means nothing in the development of any mmo. That is why games have official sites, so they can get the proper feedback from people that actually are interested in the game they are making.
You can't stop the way the game has been made or the direction that the devs went with. You can either like it or not, nothing more. There's no need to argue with people who actually are passionite about the game and like what they see.

SWTOR is what it is, a themepark MMORPG.
If you have trouble accepting that, then move on to an MMO that you do like. if there is any, that is.

When you say alot, you mean you, right. Also, kinda overstretching abit on the possibly the last SW mmo in our lifetime thing, don't you think. If TOR is not what you want, then why don't you enlighten everyone here, how you think TOR should have been made.

ill try it before il make my judgements but looks ok to me tbh all i can say is ignore the trolls and have fun playing what you play.
And if there is no OBT, will you go out and buy it as it stand now? The game will launch soon but even at E3 the client had issues & bugs.

Stupid examples don't really make your case stronger, in fact they do the opposite.
I'd categorize it as an improvement of the current model, not a 'revolutionary' level of innovation.
And yes, it's a much needed one: that's why you see and ArenaNet with GW2 and Funcom with TSW and BW with SWTOR all do the same, namely add VO, cinematics and RPG elements and choices to the questing process. Only BW is taking this mechanic the furthest of those three.
The vast majority of the gamers who actually played the game, liked it very much. Because they see it for what it is, an improvement of the textbased, decisionless way of questing like it is now in current MMO's.
Then again, they don't hold a grudge or hatred/dislike against SWTOR so they won't dismiss any improvement by default just because it's SWTOR. I think that's the difference.

Where the hell is that kind of feedback going to get you? I don't think that the issues bothering people about SW:TOR are so miniscule that they can be altered at this point through going to the "official forums and making a post".
Its too late for SW:TOR. The game is set in stone, it is what it is. And for a lot of people that is a disappointment. (Yes, I said 'a lot' again, beacuse thats a fact.)
Yes, I'm giong on a limb with the assumption that there won't be another Star Wars MMORPG for a long time. I think its a reasonable assumption as well.
If you have trouble accepting that, then move on to an MMO that you do like. if there is any, that is.
Oh it's more than that and you know it. Don''t try to simplify the subject by just stating "it's a themepark game" please.
Of course it's more. It's a themepark styled MMORPG based on the Star Wars franchise and done by Bioware.
But it's the themepark component and direction that some people here have a problem with, including you. So if you can't accept that SWTOR will be a themepark based MMORPG, then I repeat my statement, simply don't play it when it launches and move on to games that you are interested in. Unless bashing games you dislike is more fun to you than talking about games that you do like, if there are any that is, of course.

Who CARES what I want? None of you do!
Okay, I'll indulge you. If it had to be a Bioware production.... then I would've prefered that they modeled it after the Gameplay and Graphical appearance of Mass Effect 2. With their storytelling abilities, presented in an action combat, and beautiful graphical world, that SW:TOR would've be more widely anticipated by the gaming community for A> being new and original in that its an action oriented game with a very healthy dose of story and B> would've been a state of the art gorgeous Star Wars experience (Much akin to the SWTOR cinematic trailers that EVERYONE loves and happen to look NOTHING like the current SW:TOR's game world.)
There, there's a brief "what would I have wanted". Does anyone care? Nope.

The problem here is that YOU have a problem. If you want to do anything about it, then go to the official site and make your suggestion to the company and post it on the ofrums as well. If enough people agree with you, then the Devs will make changes. By not doing that though you are accepting whatever happens to you and really have no right to complain. It's really the same as refusing to vote in your local elections. If you refuse, you made the ccoise to not be heard and deserve whatever you get. On the other hand, if like me you go onto those forums occassionally and make your desires know, you may see things happening. The devs have proven that they are willing to change things because of testing and because of things said on the forums. The renaming of the Jedi Wizard to the Jedi Sage is a good example. Enough people complained that they put it up to a vote on the official forums and look what happened.

Yes, I'm giong on a limb with the assumption that there won't be another Star Wars MMORPG for a long time. I think its a reasonable assumption as well.
Yet you keep saying A lot of people and issue's not being miniscule. I have asked you, to discuss how you would have liked TOR be developed.
Nope.
See, that's wasn't so bad. You do know that the reason that they didn't go with the mass effect style is becasue of the limitations it causes on a lot of peoples computers. It's an mmo and it just wouldn't make the game be available to the amount of people that would really want to play. I'm not sure on the combat and making it play out like jedi outcast, not sure if that would work either. keep going, i would like to hear more on your take of how you would make TOR.

Actually, I kinda agree with that. Even more, I'd rather have had it be a Mass Effect MMORPG than a SW MMORPG, I find that universe and lore more appealing. But even as a Star Wars MMO I think the ME2/Planetside combat would have fitted an SW MMO well, or maybe they could've compromised and opted for a variant of what TR had.
However, while I am disappointed that this is not the choice BW have made for SW, I still can look at what they are trying to create and (probably, hard to tell for sure before actually playing it) like it for what SWTOR offers instead of what I've liked it to be. Although I still think that my idea would have been cooler. But I'm not making the MMO, so it's going with what they have to offer, the only thing that I can do is decide for myself if it's worth to purchase it or not. So far, I'm on the 'buy it' side, last year I was on the 'not interested' side.

These arent arguments, no one on the "TOR IS GOD!" side is making arguments, just running circles and playing with their dicks.
How about this you monkeys, history fucking repeats itself, and pride clouds peoples judgement. There, both your questions answered.
What "other side of the coin"? You reference reviewers that admit to never playing the game and yet I am supposed to believe your negativity?
"If half of what you tell me is a lie, how can I believe any of it?"
And those people are complaining in a placed that doesn't mean bunk for actually changing the game. Good choice.
"If half of what you tell me is a lie, how can I believe any of it?"

There IS NO PLACE to "change the game." The game is set in stone and it is as we see it now.
It is just people's opinions. I would not lose any sleep over it.
Oh it's more than that and you know it. Don''t try to simplify the subject by just stating "it's a themepark game" please.

When you say alot, you mean you, right. Also, kinda overstretching abit on the possibly the last SW mmo in our lifetime thing, don't you think. If TOR is not what you want, then why don't you enlighten everyone here, how you think TOR should have been made.
Player feedback through testing and feedback on the OFFICIAL forums would be the place to start. Not on a forum that most likely isn't read by any of the developers.
"If half of what you tell me is a lie, how can I believe any of it?"
ill try it before il make my judgements but looks ok to me tbh all i can say is ignore the trolls and have fun playing what you play.

"If half of what you tell me is a lie, how can I believe any of it?"
You say this as if TOR isn't widely anticipated by the gaming community. Isn't that afterall what so many keep saying is the problem, there's too much hype?

Hi.
I have been to the official forums. I have posted. kthx.
Byesies!
Absolutely the game is highly anticipated. But I also used the word "more" in there too.
