LFG, Just not sure what

MMOman101MMOman101 Member UncommonPosts: 1,787

I have not played MMOs for a bit now.  I have been having fun playing single player games; however, I would really like to find an enjoyable MMO, if that is even possible.

I would prefer a game with a deep class/skill system.

Grouping is a huge bonus.

Not much of a crafter.

PvP is not that important either.

I have played FF14 and not doing that again.

I really like Vanguard, but I am not even going to think about any SOE games until I feel better about handing over my information over to them.

Not going to play WoW.

Rift looks kind of lame.

Not into EVE at all.

I have tried some FTPs but nothing really grabbed my attention.

Is there a game out there that has enjoyable, challenging group play?  That is inherently what I am after.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

As far as P2P goes, nothing I'd really recommand at the moment.

B2Ps, well there's always Guild wars.

F2Ps, depends. You could look into Pandora Saga,Dungeon Fighter, Mabinogi, Vindictus.

Otherwise you *could* go back to FFXIV if you enjoyed the game slightly. It's entirely free now (and has been since few months after Launch) until Square Enix are happy with the product. Big combat/class and Monster difficulty revamp patch coming by the end of summer too.

Are there no good group oriented, challenging games with deep player classes/skills?

Mortal Online and Darkfall Online are definitely what you are after.. unless you're 12 or younger. Mortal Online is a beast if you can get some friends to play with, there are no levels so you can go raid towns with higher level players and just go crazy and pvp all the lowbies and stuff, it's a really really good game. It's the definition of Hardcore MMO, but it makes it really realistic and the world is like 10x the size of most other mmo worlds, so it's real immersive. Definitely try it out with the free trial.

I really enjoyed Darkfall, but it has major population issues. Along with you have little chance of getting a player housing spot. Hopefully the expansion for Darkfall will come out soonish, and that should help things along.

Mortal Online, the game looks good, feels good but in true is rubbish in my opinion. Ive only played a small amount but on each attempt I was fronted with rude and agressive people, 80% couldn't speak English. And the game is a little confusing at the start with no real tutorial.

I would of suggested Warhammer as that's a fun fun game to play casully. But the population boost it had not long ago seems to have died out now. And you will find yourself waiting 30-60+ mins for a battleground of sorts.

    My only suggestions would be are;

    Wait for Darkfalls expansion

    Wait for Guild Wars 2

    Don't go to WoW ha.
