I would say WoW, too. But only get WoW if you don't care about being in a good community. People like Firemagic are in WoW. ::::16::

Everyone is playing WoW. Yes, even opinionated dickheads like me, and vacuous dull nobodies like Vork.

SWG son! Because the age range is like 21+, which, obviously, makes a better gaming community; a more "mature" community. Also, the professions are just my taste, and, well, I'm a Star Wars fan. I just don't have a thing for fantasy mmo's.

Well, I will be buying Guild Wars as well, just because its one of the first, free, professionally made mmo's. A lot of my friends are buying it also.

Guildwars because its different. No fee great pvp all the good mmorpg action without the boring grindy stuff. The beta events have been fun cant wait for retail.

Maybe Wow because it might not be so boring and repetitive when the pvp battlegrounds and other updates come out.

    I recommend Guild Wars.

The game will finally free us from the spell of Carebear Goddess.

The only person who could answer your question is someone who has actually played all three games on your list. RECENTLY within the past 2 months. Since that is the only person who could accuratly compare all 3 games on your list.

I do not think there is a single person here who has. Thus no one can give you an honest answer.

Star Wars Galaxies: I have to agree with what JoJoGib said about it, that it had one of the most mature gaming communities I've ever witnessed in MMORPGing. It still had its share of tards though, but far less than anything I've ever seen. Even if SWG was a mediocre attempt by SOE to cash in on a franchise, I might have played it a lot longer then I did had some close friends decided to stay there.

Guild Wars: I'm not overly interested in this game. I can't say that it sucks because I haven't played it yet, but I don't see how it can really be considered an MMO. Seems more like Diablo 2 or a normal multiplayer RPG to me, but that's just my take on it.

World of Warcraft: My current MMO home, proudly to say. I've been looking for a good game to replace the fun I had with early days EQ. The only thing I need to find in WoW to accomplish that is a good group of friends and/or a good guild to join. Community can seem childish at times but it definately has the fun factor level, plus it's very friendly to those new to MMO's.

    My recommendation: WoW.

Comming from a person that has tried all three I would say without a doubt WOW..

SWG is a lagmere and system hog (imagine that from a SOE game) not to mention the population is extremly low compared to some other games..Its a pretty good game but the fact that hardly anyone plays it and people rarely talk to each other or group just turned me off..Not to mention its made by SOE who has a history of doing things to ruin a game.... See PS and the end of EQ1

Guild Wars is another decent game but there difference here is that there probably will be tons of people playing it cuz its free. It had some really nice graphics but its to kiddie for me and left alot out in the depth department.. Pvp was fun though exp the arena.. Some more downsides to this game will be the community, just think about it.. Its FREE that means little kiddies will be able to play it cuz ITS FREE....So when you talk about WOW having alot of kids what do you think this game will have since its FREE and WOW is not... Also the fact that you cant walk your own path ingame sorta takes the immersion out of it big time..I mean damn why must I walk this same path over and over and over what if I want to got west and through those bushes? To me that just killed the game in my eyes.

WOW if you ask me is the best game not only of these three but out there period.. PVP is more in depth then in GW plus the game has a ton of more things to do then GW...Graphics are probably not as good but then agian there just kinda different then other games and thats what they wanted..More chars choices, more items, more depth, more places to explore (and no freaking set paths) so you can go where ever you want on the map, more people, I could go on and on...Last but least I will just say that its made by Blizzard and if you ever played one of there games you will know that they are usually fun and adictive as hell.

I would go with WOW over any game out right now let alone SWG or GW....

Right, Guild Wars has no fee if you steal the box.

Anyway, I would say go for World of Warcraft but at the moment I am incredibly bias towards the game.

(If you do get WoW just send me a mail and I'll give you my server and hook you up ;) )

Well having played all three i stand by my vote for guildwars. I gave wow a maybe because it could be better if the pvp actually had some depth and meaning to it. Guildwars nearly the whole game is centered around pvp and its multifaceted and has a purpose story wise plus its just plain better. To the person that says wow has in depth pvp i really dont know what you are talking about.

Anyway on the topic of swg good community but it doesnt save a bad game. I havent played JTL though so maybe its gotten better?

Anyway having played all 3 i have a wow account im not playing because im bored with it and its meaningless pvp. And im basically waiting for guildwars and hopefully a game that will replace wish as well sometime in the near future.

    :/

I dont see wats wrong with the WoW community... Unless youre playing on PvP server.

I *FINALLY* got my WoW box a couple days ago. It was a long wait. So I started on a PvP server. I love PvP, but not when ppl are 10+ lvls higher than me, n thats the only PvP I saw.. Meaning.. I would /wave, signaling that Im no threat to them, then get back to fighting... They wait till Im halfway done the fight, then gank me.

But with Battlefields right around the corner, I decided to start over on a PvE server. The community? So much better. Not perfect, but wat community is? The game itself is amazing. I love the quests, the crafting, even fighting, cuz my actions always have a purpose.

Guildwars looks very promising also, but I didnt play for longer than a few moments, so I cant really say. I didnt like that the town was like an instance, n ppl all werent in the same "world". That lost my interest :

SWG.... Heh.. Wat can I say about that.. The only ppl that wanted me to try that game were male, asking me to make a char just to dance for them... So uhhhh, I never tried it. :|

I disagree with your statement that people under 21 are likely to be more immature.

Six months ago I would have recommended Guild Wars.  But since then, it's gone downhill.  The last Beta Weekend was frought with problems, and I'm now considering cancelling my pre-order.

I haven't played Star Wars Galaxies.  Installed the free trial, haven't had the motivation to play it.

WoW I tried the open beta as a lark.  Had no intention of buying the game.  Ended up loving it, and am currently a happy subscriber.  So that's what I voted.

SWG : Unless you are a SW fan, I would not recommend that game. Maybe if you have friend(s) playing it. By the way, dont even expect some good Consummer Support from SOE (did I say I hate SOE ?).

WoW : Fun, solo compatible, very good support, runs on low end computer. My choice.

Guild Wars : Very Promising game. New genre if you ask me, more like a fast mmorpg, closer to diablo 2 than a graphic mud for sure :)
