There is zero chance of it being done well. It's just another way for Hasbro to merchandise the popular Transformers intellectual property. This game will have the flashiest trailers you've ever seen, and then turn out to be Runescape with better graphics. It's not something that will ever be intended to last more than a year or two...they just need to make their big cash grab from box sales, and then let it die.
Why will it be like Runescape? Because Jagex is developing it.
Edit:
I just found out that it's a browser-based game. That only bolsters my opinion that it will be like Runescape, and it also means overall production value/qualtiy will be low. Although, it also means I was probably wrong about letting it die after a year of box sales, since a browser game will likely end up being P2W instead. Either way, crap game will be crap because it's not being developed by people who truly believe in making great games.
Like Runescape, Transformers Universe will run on Java and will be launched straight out of a browser, though the game engine is far more advanced than Runescape's.
I think a Giant Robot Fighting Action MMOFPSRPGsomethingorother would do great. Just never ever call it Transformers. One game has already done that but in anime graphics. Lets get some realistic audio like ear splitting metal grinding etc etc and more death machine looking things going and that's a good game.

Browser game.. meh.. But I'd love that game to be fun..
I've checked some interviews with the devs though, and even them doesn't seem so enthusiastic about their product...
