#1 45 minute dungeon queues with people still LF Healer. OK, I understand they can't un-make it as a holy trinity game, but they needed to address the lack of healers and tanks two expansions ago.
The tank healer issue could be resolved by un-nerfing tanks and healers. I know I won't heal until this is fixed. Way too much hassle.
I disagree. I think this would help, but it definitely would not fix the game. Look at every MMO across the board and you will see how often groups get held up "LFH" anf "LFT."

Loved WoW for most of the 6 years I played. Cata really destroyed all that I found fun in the game. Catering to the top 3% of any game is asanine and its the reason why Blizzard lost subs this Xpac. Well that and re-hashing old ass boring content.
In order for Blizzard to lure me back to the game they must do the following:
1. Drop the daily quest idea.
2. Get rid of the ability to grind out rep in a matter of days.
3. With #1 and 2 done, make it so that rep actually matters and the gear rewards are the same item level as endgame raid drops. Its stupid that a exalted ring brought from a rep vendor is ilevel 200 and the entry raid tiered gear is ilevel 213.
4. In place of Daily quests, add sporadic solo/duo dungeon portals that appear randomly around the landscape.
5. remove flying mounts
6. crafting that matters.
7. get rid of x-server dungeon/PvP queues.
8. Add at least 2 more hero classes, a caster and a healer hero class.
9. add incentives for World PvP, and World exploration. I find it funny that a game that boasts 13 million subscribers, and 7 out of 10 strolls through the highest end zone yields zero players actively hunting.
10. Add outdoor bosses, and other heroic/elite creatures that require groups to take down. Im talking like 20+ bosses per zone, and three times that many of their minions, all of which have a chance to drop truely heroic/epic gear that cant be found anywhere.
11. get rid of the token system.
12 . with 11 out of the way, add a 'smart' loot profile, based on the specs of the classes involved in killing the boss. No more Rogue dagger drops in a 10 man raid with no rogues.
13. Get rid of Arena for normal servers, open up the arena test server ful ltime with instant max level and top tiered loot, but absolutely no PvE content.
14. with 13 out of the way, de-incentivize battlegrounds by eliminating the reward of any honor or XP in BG's. This wil lslowly get rid of the instanced nightmare I feel plagues the current generation of PvP MMO's.
15. with 14 done, PvP kills in the open world are worth 4 times the amount of honor that they are worth now.
16. get rid of the 7 day lockout for raids. Instead implement a system that allows the player to farm what ever bosses they desire, give the players more freedom. In return bosses only drop 1 item.
17. I would also be okay if #16 wasnt implemented but instead do away with raid lockouts, but implement a Diablo/Asherons Style loot system, where each boss drops 1 item for each individual, you may get lucky and pull an epic, often times you will get blues.
18 Make epics epic, if need be add another loot tier call it what ever you like, say Grandiose for all I care, since purplez is the new blue might as well make a new purplez system that actually has merit.
19. Last but absolutely not freaking last, make Frost mages the laughing ass stock of the WoW community and not the unbelievable gods they have been for the last 6 years. cut their damage by 90%, let them play as a Crowd control only class. A class with that much control doesnt deserve that much utility and damage against anything melee!
Only these 19 items would ever get me back into the game!!!
Playing: GW2 Waiting on: TESO Next Flop: Planetside 2 Best MMO of all time: Asheron's Call - The first company to recreate AC will be the next greatest MMO.
I know this has probably been suggested before, but they should add the Pandaren race. I even have an idea as to how they should do the starting area.
The Pandaren start off as a neutral race, members of neither the Alliance or the Horde. Players are given two choices for their pandaren; the taller and thinner model or the shorter and fatter/muscular model. Both have male and female options, but the model determines where you start in Pandaria, what quests you get, etc. I was thinking that since the Goblin starting area was GTA inspired, the Pandaren starting area could be Mass Effect or Fallout 3 inspired, where you get the option of who you turn your quest into and stuff (but in all likelyhood that will not happen).
Anyway, the two models represent different social classes, with the fatter ones living inside the Pandaren city of (insert clever chinese inspired with possible Avatar: The Last Airbender reference name here), and the thinner ones living in the rural countryside of (insert clever chinese inspired name here). The thinner pandarens are the farmers and will be called revolutionary pandarens (more on that later), and the fatter ones have a multitude of jobs available to them and will be called traditionalist pandarens.
Up until the events of the game, both have lived side by side in harmony, enjoying their respective niches in Pandaren community. However, lately, there have been rumors on both sides, with each side believing that the other side is getting greedy, either taking or keeping more food for themselves and overcharging/underpaying for food.
The beginning quests start off with the player doing some errands for their parents, all in the form of gathering and delivery quests. A few quests in, the player is sent to the market to either buy or sell food, and, depending on which Pandaren faction they are part of, see members of the other faction attack innocent bystanders. This starts off a civil war, with the city dwelling traditionalist pandaren labeling the farmer pandaren as "revolutionists". At this point in the game, all pandaren of the opposite faction will turn hostile, and the quests turn into kill and search and rescue quests, and the city and countryside quickly fall to ruin.
Near the end of the starting area, the player come across their first orc or human, depending on what side they are on (traditionalists meet humans and revolutionists meet orcs). The player asks whomever they meet for help, and joins their respective sides, with traditionalists joining the Alliance and revolutionists joining the Horde. In the end, the player learns that the civil war was a set up. It was conducted by pandaren working for some evil cult (I will let the game designers decide who and what), and that all of Pandaria is coming apart, so the remaining Pandaren flee, taking refuge in either Thunder Bluff or Darnassus (complete with cutscene). Of course, high level players get to return to Pandaria to reclaim it, but learn that Pandaria was only the beginning, and that there are cult members in every major city in both the Alliance and the Horde.
Oh, and before I forget, Pandaren get qilin as their racial mounts, with alliance pandaren getting thinner, more elegant looking qilin that were bread for looks (think the horses you sometimes saw in New York City back when police rode them), and horde pandaren getting stockier qilin that were bread to be beasts of burden (think clydesdales with a bit of kodo thrown in)
WoW is still the "king", per se, but who knows how long that will be. Yes, I do still play WoW. This is not a fanboy thread. WoW, in my opinion, has peaked and I think (my opinion) CAT did not offer much. There will be a 4th expansion, duh, and I think that this expansion is pivotal. I think that this expansion needs to blow us, the gamers, away. For shits and giggles, what do you think should be done to keep a player base and/or make people come back? For me, I want: New races (2, at least,), new classes (2 at least), more content, and more non-kill "this" quests. Since WoW started we haven't got many new races, we also haven't got jack for classes. As for "more contect" we need more...and I mean moooooreee. Quests? Just make them fun, again. I, and only me, judge the 4th expansion (whatever it may be) as being very pivotal to the game. But at the same time Blizzard might not really care since the focus is now on Titan (which is fine) but this 4th expansion (Emerald Dream? maybe...probably not, actually) needs to have the content of BC/LK/CAT combined + more. So whats your opinion?
well going by the "list" (yes that list) the Emerald Dream will be the next ex pack theme. The list has been accurate so far. Also it makes sense for a Emerald Dream x-pack. Blizzard is very symbolic with their messages and clues. Blizzard has been doing a lot of things that are nature related. For example: we recently had a book about the emerald dream. Also in CAT a faction of druids have turned evil by the old gods. Also the green aspect has been playing a large role lately. Especially now that she has opened her eyes.
The features I want from this x-pack is a new demon hunter class. Pretty obvious that the demon hunters will play a major role in the emerald dream, now that we know from the book, that the emerald dream is connected directly to the twisted nether. And also for some unknown reason, the legion seeks hold of the Dream. And the old gods are helping them. We don't know why yet
- "Sandbox" mode: grouping > much much better than soloing, global channels disabled (general, trade, ooc, shout...), token items removed, each class gets to have distinctive abilities and gameplay, instanced PvP removed.
My addiction History: >> EQ1 2000-2004 - Shaman/Bard/Wizard/Monk - nolife raid-whore >> WoW 2004-2009 + Cataclysm for 2 months - hardcore casual >> Current status : done with MMO, too old for that crap.
It won't happen but I would to see a third faction. As an expample like the burning Legion beeing playable. Outland redesigned for leveling. (It is kind of irelavant now since Cata anyway.) Make open world pvp fun again, Player housing, Open the world up a bit so it feels less zonal. More races and definatly another hero class or two, whats the point of having just one? Maybe guild castles,More dynamic events and perhaps it's time for some player driven content, maybe as an option in end game. The game is on the wain now but there can still be life in the old girl yet.:)
On a more serious note, I still remember when this game was brand new, the ORIGINAL development team had spoken of integrating RTS aspects of the original Warcraft games into the MMO world, while bringing in Hero Classes. NOTE! The Deathknight is NOT a hero class, it's just a way to avoid leveling up a character to 55. The original Hero Class concept was to have two unique hero class branches per class to pick from once you hit max level.
I left MuDs for EQ, EQ for DAoC, DAoC for WoW. I played WoW from the start, through all the expansions (even grinding dailies for reputation titles etc...)
I am saying this because for me the hurdle WoW has to jump to get me back is GIGANTIC. I move on, i've moved on. The thought of going back just for the Firelands (deja vu) made my gums hurt.
What WoW's next expanion would have to be to get me back:
- 3rd Faction (Call it the Naga, Forsaken, Shadows whatever.)
- 8 New Classes 3rd Faction Specific. (I don't care if they are "unique", just change the icons on the classes you want to make alternate versions of, make the heals only work on friends, and give all the abilities new "dark" names. Then call them Shadow versions or whatever concept they decide on. The "new" classes don't have to play different then what is already there, just some new colors/names/icons is enough.
- 3 way battlegrounds (With the addition of a, what we will call the "shadow" realm, new toys will have to be implemented to utilize the new, more thrilling, three faction dynamic.)
- 3 Way Resource Warzone (Kind of like wintergrasp, but not so confined and systematic. I was thinking passive defenses that patrol the area for the faction that currently controls the region.)
WoW was great, had a blast, made some RL friends in another country (canada), and got to experience a polished raid system unlike i had experienced in EQ or DAoC. With that said, things get old. And in WoW's case, boring. The only challenge anymore is dealing with the community when trying to find a pug. I think some people consider that the meta game. The dps meters, the gearscores, the rare pets or mounts, and the bar they set for strangers to overcome, the utter lack of ettiquette (i'm as guilty as the rest, My GL was a prick and I never said nay against his actions.), signs of an addicted and bored community?
Anyways, my bar is very high for my return. I am having a blast playing champions online atm oddly enough. I play it to play, not to get endgame or raid or any of the premises behind my gameplay while I was a member of WoW.
Time to look to the future and let WoW roll into the oldschool catagory.
"I swear -- by my life and my love for it -- that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine." - John Galt
Get back to old talent trees with way more talents per talent tree, ability to try hybrid speccs that actually work
Heroic classes ,1 HC for each class
I would vote for an execution band of orcs to finish gyrocopters, loads of mounts, choppers, balloons and everything that is making wow look so ridiculous and chieldish, but thats just me i guess.
Bring back the vanilla system /stats for tamed pets for hunters ,so not every cat amd unique spawn cat has same stats and abilities so players can make unique discoveries and experiment ..it was way more fun tht way.
Bring back the unpreductable element in combat as it was in vanilla wow weapons chance for stun etc and many other things.
In the name of BALANCE blizzard over the last4 years destroyed the fun element without managing ever to balance all classes anwy. What they acheved only was in every patch to change the over powered classes making a rotation cyrcle.
They should have made a new Island 1-60, instead of screwing up the old content. Also the leveling is wayyyy to fast, I cant see ever coming back !
This ^
Same huge long continent like kalimdor or eastern kingdom, for the starting area of new race and class, where other race can join also, instead of the roud type world like outland and northend.
personaly i just think Blizz should just leave WoW were it is and focus on bring us that new mmo they'v been working so secretly on. the only thing that will bring me back to WoW is a major graphic upgrade to bring this game up to 2011 standards (Aion, Tera, GW2). i really don't care what they do story wise, i just can't stand to look at those 2002 graphics anymore.
2. Make a new continent that is completely open world with less mobs in it, something more dynamic and where guilds and players alike could build their own cities and houses. Then add in open world siege combat.
3. Remove leveling entirely and just make the game skill based, remove classes and convert class abilities into different skills, allowing for more variety in a players template and more balance. Your stats would then govern your skills and determine what weapons and armor you have, making the game less item based.
4. Add in a new combat system, get rid of targetting and allow players to combat manually for a more immersive combat experience, allowing players to dodge arrows and spells and sword blows and manually block with a shield instead of "click" and watch..
5. Allow warring between same faction guilds
6. Make the game entirely FFA PVP, allowing someone to betray and leave their faction by killing off other players in it, eventually branding them as a "murderer" and making them an enemy to their own faction, so that there would be an alignment system in place, one that is based off of a GOOD vs EVIL virtue system..
7. Allow players to build their own ships and bring into the game ship combat along with it.
8. Might as well make mounts useless and for everyone from the start of level 1.. Add in free-form mounted combat where one can even go as far as knocking someone off their mount and taking it, make mounts in the game dynamic and located in the wilderness, where one would have to "tame" a mount.
If Blizzard wants me to return as their loyal customer, they need to remove certain things currently in-game and step up their game. Polished alternatives are present and many more and better games are coming out soon enough. Meaning I have better alternatives then to invest in a game where the developer clearly does not have a happy customer as their main goal.
- Remove Flying Mounts: They destroy world pvp, make the world feel small and questing trivial.
- Make the Guild Level System more flexible: Allow players to switch guilds easily again.
- Allow people to do both 10 and 25 man raids again: I had to pick between my friend group and my raiding guild.
- Implement 'premium' services for free: They make roughly 850 million every year on this game.
- Stop rehashing content: I enjoyed DM, ZG, ZA, SFK and all the other things they recycle without shame. I prefer new stuff.
- Return of world-bosses: Best raiding experiences from Vanilla came from world bosses.
- Update textures of old races: My human is starting to look really bad compared to my new goblin.
- Stop destroying PvE for PvP balance: Just give everyone the same stats the moment they enter a BG or Arena Match.
- Stop making old end-content useless: Decrease the impact of tier-based loot.
- Get rid of the activision attitude.
All the same stats in PvP? Lol, that would ruin the entire aspect of even doing PvP. Majority of people do it to become better than the people they're fighting against, if you take away stat imbalances from gears, PvP would be empty, because nobody would bother with something that's always going to be the same.

I disagree with every single thing you just said. WoW should not be twitch combat, have stealable mounts, bring boats into it, and all that other nonsense you just spewed at me. I cannot see any of that happenig, and I really hope none of it does.

I disagree. I think this would help, but it definitely would not fix the game. Look at every MMO across the board and you will see how often groups get held up "LFH" anf "LFT."

personaly i just think Blizz should just leave WoW were it is and focus on bring us that new mmo they'v been working so secretly on. the only thing that will bring me back to WoW is a major graphic upgrade to bring this game up to 2011 standards (Aion, Tera, GW2). i really don't care what they do story wise, i just can't stand to look at those 2002 graphics anymore.
.
1. Get rid of enemy name-tags
In short, add more WAR into WARCRAFT..
All the same stats in PvP? Lol, that would ruin the entire aspect of even doing PvP. Majority of people do it to become better than the people they're fighting against, if you take away stat imbalances from gears, PvP would be empty, because nobody would bother with something that's always going to be the same.
Premium services? You're on crack.
I agree with the flying mounts thing.
I disagree with every single thing you just said. WoW should not be twitch combat, have stealable mounts, bring boats into it, and all that other nonsense you just spewed at me. I cannot see any of that happenig, and I really hope none of it does.
