3,600 AUR = mens shirt
3,600 AUR = womens skirt
3,200 AUR = women's dress blouse
3,000 AUR = Men's pants
2,400 AUR = women's Knee-boots
1,000 AUR = Men's boots

yeah they can keep them at those prices... for clothing I was expecting a tenth of that to get any reasonable sales.
That's a little.... pricier than I expected.
ackkkkkkkkkkk
1 GTC roughly 15-20$
1 men's digital shirt = roughly 1 GTC = 15-20$ = 1 men's real life shirt
i have a problem paying the price of a real life item for its digital counterpart with a monthly fee to use
(granted you can get GTCs with isk anyway, but 400-600 mil is quite alot for a shirt too...
Agreed. I don't complain about vanity items in cash shops often, but 15$ for a pair of pants seems a bit extreme to me.

You know...that really puts it in perspective for me. Personally, I don't plan to buy anything from the store, but the prices did seem off/odd to me and I couldn't put my finger on why. But the quoted part pretty much sums it up.
As far as the conversion rate, is that the conversion for PLEX or GTC. The OP said GTC which, as I understood, can be converted to two PLEX.
edit: did a little searching, PLEX to Aur conversion is 1 to 3500. My GTC comment was based on 60-day GTCs so that is likely where i got confused.

Any person who expresses rage and loathing for an MMO is preposterous. He or she is like a person who has put on full armor and attacked a hot fudge sundae.
Paying for the client and a monthly sub and then trying to throw in a cash shop for clothes...FAIL...also FAIL for going to PSN instead of xbox live for Dust. Pissed at this game and not subbing until they change their ways back to old CCP. Good luck to everyone that gets board with their captains quarters after about 10 minutes when they realized there aint shit to do in them. lol.
Clearly CCP have listened to our "not so keen on MT" feedback and decided to limit their effect on the game by setting prices no-one will pay.
What a genius compromise!

Fixed, oops.
I blame the fact it was an early morning for me.
Also for a few curious people at one point they where going to have all clothes on you when you are podded. But more recently they had this.
Thanks for bringing this up. And I did chuckle at the great "killmail" above.
We finalized on the following characteristics:
-clothing are destructible while in your cargo (like anything else)
-clothing are not destroyed if podded while worn - you will wake up in your new clone wearing the same outfit
-clothing does not travel with you if you take advantage of a jump clone - it remains in the previous station
-items such as the eye implants or Amarr monocles which are installed in the body do NOT behave like implants but can be removed and put on again at will (or even resold.)
We believe these settings best serve both our current population as well as those players who come later and learn to play EVE Online without the benefit of a specific briefing on the new functionality.

Are you serious??? LOL.
So the hardcore of hardcore MMO's now is pushing the shiny pants and nifty hat at their cash shop? LOL
Now I've got some well documented issues with EVE's leveling system and don't want to pile on here, but seriously????
I mean SERIOUSLY?!?!!?
I keep looking at my calendar and it ain't April 1st...
GW2 "built from the ground up with microtransactions in mind"
1) Cash->Gems->Gold->Influence->WvWvWBoosts = PAY2WIN
2) Mystic Chests = Crass in-game cash shop advertisements
Sparkle pants, looks like wow got 1upped.
Seems kinda steep but it is only cosmetics so who gives a dam.
Commando FTW
Velika: City of Wheels: Among the mortal races, the humans were the only one that never built cities or great empires; a curse laid upon them by their creator, Gidd, forced them to wander as nomads for twenty centuries...
The least derp theory I have seen is that the prices are deliberately huge to limit the early effect on the PLEX market, and they'll gradually decline (after soaking the early adopters) to more, uh, realistic levels to a stable equilibrium.
Amusingly, you can buy quite a nice genuine monocle online for less than half the value of a pixel one in EVE. In fact almost everything in the NEX store costs more than it's real-life equivalent.
But most amusing of all is all the "CCP HAVE MASSIVELY OVERPRICED THESE CASH SHOP ITEMS THAT I WASN'T GOING TO BUY ANYWAY"
The lesson to learn from this is that you should never doubt that CCP are, and always will be, the best trolls of their own playerbase.

Thats up to $19.99 and $25.00 per item in real money...I..am...a little disgusted. I don't want to over react but my hero just became evil.
Is this CCP?
I didn't plan on buying anything from the shop, but those prices are so retarded hardly anyone will buy them. Especially the monocle.
Current: None
Played: WoW, CoX, SWG, LotRO, EVE, AoC, VG, CO, Ryzom, DF, WAR
Tried: Lineage2, Dofus, EQ2, CoS, FE, UO, Wurm, Wakfu
Future: The Repopulation, ArcheAge, Black Desert, EQN
Yeah kind of agree there. Also the balance between ISK purchases and Aur purchases is completely off. They should have slashed those prices to tenths of what they are now.
On the other hand ... it's a great ISK sink ... converting ISK into plex into Aur wouldn't bother me so much as a way to get decked out as it is so easy to get a load of isk by playing the game anyway. You don't need to spend rl moniez on it. Also the fact that you can sell (atleast some?) of those items ingame alleviates the money grab somewhat.
edit: Crap, I read that it is completely tied to rl cash and not to ISK. BAD!
My brand new bloggity blog.
1 GTC is 35$ see link http://www.evetimecode.com/
BestSigEver :P
Not really sure why they decided on such high prices. If you shop smart you can managed to buy to two decent shirts for that price. Hope they just had a trigger finger on the zero button and adjust it later.
Hell even in Second Life where you buy everything with lindens(purchased via RL cash) are not any where near as high and the shop owners would see very little business charging that much.
The thing that pisses me off is that it seems they did absolutely zero research into other MT games as reference and just arbitrarily set prices in the store. The whole purpose of MT is to be small enough that they are not a barrier for people when buying stuff in the store. Most people who will use the MT store will look at prices of a few bucks and say "it's only a couple of bucks I'll just grab this" and will do this on a regular basis but asking them to pay the equivalent of a months sub OR MORE for a single items is just.....just.....just....fucking retarded.
It defies any logic and is already starting to blow up so hard in CCP's face I'd be surprised if those reponsible for ok'ing the prices don't get demoted back to coffee bitch permanently. The bad PR alone is going to kick CCP squarely in the teeth.
Up until today I think most would safely consider me a CCP fanboy but now.....seriously.....CCP WTF?
*sigh*
I am going to give them a week to see what changes they implement based on the feedback from the customers before I write this game off. I feel very taken advantage of with the loyalty I gave this company.
CCP usually listens to the feedback when it is this large. I still consider this pricing structure to be complete and utter rubbish, mier, and scrap metal. So here is 7 business days of feedback to wait and see what happens.
CCP is not homogenous. There's a faction in CCP that actually believes in connecting withthe playerbase. There's another faction that believe in keeping as much distance as possible between themselves and the dirty little oiks who buy subscriptions.
I leave it to you to guess which faction has been been managing the Incarna project.
