Hi,
hope this is the right forum.
I am really lost and would be very glad if someone could help:
Since one week I try to find an online dealer where I can buy the english (US or UK) version of EverQuest II. I am located in Germany/Europe (and hate translations of games in general). The international shipping cost of Sony (station.sony.com) is a joke I will not pay additional 33 Euros/Dollars for shipping!
I have tried Ubisoft (shop.ubi.com), located in France where you can order german, english (UK) or french versions. But since my order a couple of workdays ago I did not hear anything from them. Maybe they do not want to earn money from customers?
It is a big shame that there seems to be no way to purchase online and download the game! Or did I miss something?
Any tiny hint would be very welcome.
Regards and thanks a lot in advance,
butchrulez

You can buy the German/French/UK Version and after installing it, you can change the
language at the EULA Screen, to English US, the Autopatcher will then downloads a few files and you are
set.

Thx for the info, that's great!
So there is no german but only an european version of the game and there won't be any german texts, menues, etc. if I switch to english at install time?
If I would have known that earlier I could have spend the whole weekend playing already...
Greetings!
Yup
I installed the german version,
started the launch pad, and at the EULA screen to the left I choosed Region "English US"
then click on "Ich bin Einverstanden" the Launchpad will close itself and start a new instance
which is now completely English, at the first startup it will download the additional files which are needed.
You can change to another language again anytime.
but btw. don't even bother playing the german version, last Time I tried, HALF of the game was not translated and there were many bugs (can't complete quets etc) cause of translation errors.

Yes that are exactly the reasons why I really do not like translated games. Also when everything is translated the quality is often too low. Even when the game was actually developed in Germany (but the first version only in english language) and the texts where translated by human beings not machines.
Sorry for bothering the forum with stuff already answered by the official International FAQ.
According to the FAQ the only drawback would be the voice acting that would not be patchable into different languages because they think it would be to big to download, but maybe there will be some unofficial modifications to workaround this limitation in the future :-).
